Forged from experience but driven by a renewed sense of urgency, French heavy metal outfit Seven Metal Sins arrive with ‘Legacy Of Chaos‘, their debut full-length album, set for release on June 5th, 2026 via Rockshots Records.
Built on the foundations of classic heavy metal while sharpened by the precision and force of modern power metal, the record introduces a band determined to channel intensity, melody, and purpose into something both timeless and fiercely contemporary.
Formed in 2024 by former Manigance members Stéphane Lacoude and Patrick Soria, Seven Metal Sins quickly evolved from a reunion of longtime collaborators into a fully realized creative force.
With the arrival of guitarist Antton Iriart, vocalist Claw-G., and guitarist Frédéric Auclerc, the band solidified a lineup capable of delivering the kind of uncompromising heavy metal they had long envisioned: sharp riffing, galloping rhythms, soaring melodies, and a darker thematic edge rooted in the anxieties of the modern world.
That vision comes fully alive on ‘Legacy Of Chaos‘, an eleven-track album shaped by themes of environmental collapse, social instability, greed, war, and authoritarianism.
Rather than approaching these subjects through direct realism alone, the band filters them through dystopian imagery and science-fiction atmospheres, creating a record that feels cinematic without losing its raw metallic core.
The first single, ‘Wolves Of The Last Dawn‘, serves as a powerful introduction to the album’s identity.
Driven by razor-edged guitar work and commanding vocals, the track balances aggression with memorable melodic hooks while lyrically exploring the fragile moment between resistance and surrender in a collapsing world.
It is heavy metal with both urgency and atmosphere, rooted in tradition but refusing to feel nostalgic.
Musically, ‘Legacy Of Chaos‘ thrives on contrast and momentum.
The band draws clear inspiration from the classic eras of heavy, speed, and power metal, yet avoids sounding trapped in the past.
Instead, the album pushes forward with a cleaner, sharper sonic attack and a modern production style that enhances every riff, rhythm shift, and vocal line.
Mixed by Jérémie Garat at Reseda Prod and mastered by Simon Capony at Basalte Studio, the record delivers clarity and punch while preserving the organic energy at the heart of the band.
The songwriting process itself reflects the collaborative spirit of the group.
Instrumental foundations primarily came from Antton Iriart before being expanded collectively by the full lineup, with Claw-G. shaping lyrical narratives around the emotional energy already embedded within the music.
The result is an album that feels cohesive and alive, where every musical decision serves the atmosphere and emotional weight of the songs.
While ‘Legacy Of Chaos‘ marks the band’s official debut album, Seven Metal Sins already sound like seasoned veterans with a clear artistic identity.
Their music is direct, forceful, and unashamedly rooted in the spirit of classic metal, but there is also a sense of conviction running throughout the record that gives it genuine modern relevance.
With ‘Legacy Of Chaos‘, Seven Metal Sins are not simply revisiting the past glory of heavy metal.
They are using its power, energy, and defiance to confront the chaos of the present day head-on.
