Pressure Points’ debut album, ‘Remorses To Remember‘, quickly established the band as a notable force in the field of melodic and progressive metal.
Released in 2010 to critical acclaim, the album gathered widespread attention, earning a spot on the Finnish album charts at #44 and making appearances on Finnish national radio.
Pressure Points was ranked second as a newcomer of the year category in the Finnish Metal Awards in 2011.
With its dynamic compositions and varying soundscapes, the album remains a defining creation in the band’s journey.
The album originally released by legendary Finnish Firebox Records is now re-released by another Finnish label Inverse Records.
The release includes two bonus tracks: ‘Shapeless‘ (Herranen remix) and ‘Pain Dimension‘.
Pressure Points, currently signed with a Spanish label Art Gates Records, was founded in Heinola in the summer of 2004.
In 2025, the band focuses on writing their fourth album while continuing to perform live.

Finnish progressive metal act Pressure Points had released two new singles in autumn/winter 24.
‘The Chase‘ was accompanied by a stunning music video directed by Teppo Ristola.
This release is a continuation to their critically-acclaimed third album, ‘The Island‘, which was released in March 2023 through Art Gates Records.
The second single ‘Shapeless‘ was released on 18 December 2024.
At the same time, the group is concentrating on writing new material for their fourth album and continuing to play shows.
A festival in the Czech Republic has already been booked for summer ’25.
Veli-Matti Kyllönen, the main composer and lyricist of ‘The Chase‘, shares his insight:
“‘Chase’ is a bit of a departure from Pressure Points’ usual sound, and not just because it’s shorter than our usual length. It’s the first piece of music I wrote after wrapping up our last album, and the band loved it right away. Given our shared love of melodic death metal and epic melodies, that wasn’t a big surprise. I hope you enjoy it!”
