Portuguese melodic metal band Enchantya released their third studio album Cerberus earlier last year via Finnish record label Inverse Records.
To celebrate the success they decided to release the same album as orchestral version.
The name of the album is ‘Symphony of Cerberus’.
Also a stunning music video made by Carlos Guimarães (G Media) has been released.
Rute Fevereiro comments ‘Alone’ single:
“This song’s lyrics depict how technology and globalization have led us to communicate with numerous people but simultaneously made us feel more alone than ever. It highlights how the world has become more exposed through media and social networks but lacks empathy and humanization. There’s a sense that we’re losing balance between the world we come from and the one we’re heading towards. The lyrics criticize the shallow interactions facilitated by social media, where love is equated with fleeting gestures and genuine connections are replaced by superficial engagements. Moreover, it addresses the voyeuristic tendencies encouraged by digital platforms, where people are more inclined to film or photograph distressing situations rather than offering genuine help. Overall, the song reflects on the need for a more balanced approach to technology and communication, one that preserves our humanity and fosters genuine connections amidst the digital noise.”

Portuguese melodic metal band ENCHANTYA has released their third studio album ‘Cerberus’ via Inverse Records.
Pedro Antunes (keyborads) comments:
“Today, our new album ‘Cerberus’ sees the light (and dark) of day. This one was a real challenge to make, in the midst of a pandemic and in a time of uncertainty for all of us, and it ended up as a reflection of that experience, in all its darkness but also in all its strength. ‘Cerberus’ is a guardian, a gatekeeper, a tester. Just like our world today, it is a combination of energies – Karma, Prana and Anima demand balance so we can overcome. This album is a symbol of that battle. To see it finally out in the real world represents a victory for the band, it is a record where we surpassed our difficulties and re-discovered ourselves. We hope that it can make you feel and hopefully help you heal of whatever battles you faced, or are still facing. We will see you beyond the gates!”
Three singles have been released from this album already:
‘Existence’
‘All Down In Flames’
‘Collective Souls’

‘Collective Souls’
Lyrics by Rute Fevereiro
Portuguese melodic metal band Enchantya is set to release their third studio album ‘Cerberus’ on April 28th 2023 via Inverse Records.
The third single ‘Collective Souls’ is released along with music video.
Rute Fevereiro (singer) comments:
“The song ‘Collective Souls’ is very special to me because it portrays the collective consciousness that starts from the individual to the collective but that makes us question our existence. The cliché thought that we are all drops in an ocean perfectly represents this song. While it may seem like we don’t make a difference, we are that difference especially when we learn to love and accept ourselves the way we are.”

‘All Down in Flames’
Composed by Enchantya
Lyrics by Rute Fevereiro
Portuguese melodic metal band Enchantya is set to release their third studio album ‘Cerberus’ on April 28th 2023 via Inverse Records.
The second single ‘All Down In Flames’ has been released along with music video.
Pedro Antunes (keyboards) comments:
“‘All Down in Flames’ is the first song in the Karma section of our new album. Karma is mainly about balance and divine justice, and this song expresses people dealing with the consequences of their actions. Sometimes a situation is no longer sustainable, sometimes you just have to say ‘enough’, sometimes it all has to burn. In order to find peace, we must leave behind the places and people that poison our well-being. We hope you enjoy our new single, and that it gives you strength to let go of what no longer serves you.”

The first single ‘Existence’ has been released and the video of the track is available.
Pedro Antunes (keyboards) comments:
“Enchantya have worked on ‘Cerberus’ before and throughout the pandemic, and its concept became clearer as the world kept changing around us. There was a need for strength and guarding ourselves and our loved ones, and at the same time an urgency for balance and calm in the midst of all the chaos. Our Cerberus is a metaphorical guardian whose 3 heads separate the energies that reign over all Existence : Karma (actions and consequences), Prana (the eternal energy flowing and uniting us all and the Universe itself) and Anima (the individual spark in each soul). Only through mastery of these three energies can we overcome and achieve enlightenment. This is a beastly task and the main challenge for us all. We are very proud of this album and hope you can connect with us through its music! We can’t wait to share ‘Cerberus’ with you all!”
Enchantya was born in 2004 when vocalist Rute Fevereiro took a break from her classic band Black Widows and started exploring music for a new project.
In 2005, the band recorded their first EP, ‘Moonlighting the Dreamer’, out in 2006.
Having witnessed a great reception, the band started to work on their first album, releasing ‘Dark Rising’ through Massacre Records in 2012 to very positive reviews.
After some time touring and promoting the album, the band began composing.
However, artistic and creative differences about the new music’s direction and sound would lead to the departure of members and the band split up.
Rute was alone with her project again and having to start all over.
Fortunately, this did not stop Rute’s motivation and a few months later, by March of 2016, she had chosen a whole new team of talented musicians to take Enchantya through the next step.
After a year of rehearsing with amazing creative chemistry, the band created ‘On Light and Wrath’ , Enchantya’s second album.
Like in their debut album, the band booked a few months of studio recordings in 2018 with Fernando Matias at the Pentagon Audio Manufacturers, to bring the new album to life with eleven tracks, entitled ‘On Light and Wrath’, also taking one step further by adding violin, a whole choir of singers and the guest appearance of the vocalist from DESIRE , Nuno Caldas, creating a very refreshed and even more epic sound for the band.
Finnish label Inverse Records released Enchantya’s album in 2019.
In the middle of their second album’s promo tour, the pandemic hit and the band spent the following two years composing their new opus in the midst of all the chaos.
It is now time to release ‘CERBERUS’, the result of the songwriting through the world’s conflicted times, and also Enchantya’s most ambitious album to date, an ode to how we can all rise from the ashes again and again.
With the first single coming out in January, and two more in February and March, the album will finally see the light of day on April 28th, marking a 2023 with Enchantya returning in full form.
