Finnish death metal outfit Korpsesoturi are preparing to unleash their new full length album, ‘Korplish Sedamon‘, on November 27th, 2026 via Brutal Records.
Available worldwide in both digital and physical formats, the record finds the band firmly planted in the darker reaches of old school death metal, with little interest in polishing away the aggression that defines their sound.
Heavy, dark and uncompromising, ‘Korplish Sedamon‘ draws deeply from the character of the Finnish death metal underground.
Crushing guitars, relentless drums and deep, aggressive vocals form the backbone of an album that favours weight and atmosphere over unnecessary decoration.
There is no attempt to make the material cleaner or more accessible than it needs to be.
Instead, Korpsesoturi allow the rough edges to remain exactly where they belong.
Much of the album carries the creative stamp of Juha Ahlfors, who wrote all of the music and lyrics while also handling guitars, bass and vocals, as well as production, mixing and mastering.
Otto Uotila provides drums and percussion, supplying the material with the powerful rhythmic foundation required to drive its heavier moments.
Recorded in Finland at Wanha Wihtahousu Studios and ZombiEater Studios, ‘Korplish Sedamon‘ retains the raw character of underground death metal while delivering the sheer impact expected from a contemporary extreme metal recording.
The production does not attempt to disguise the music’s origins, but instead reinforces the darkness and intensity running throughout the album.
That darkness has long been an essential part of the Finnish death metal identity, and Korpsesoturi clearly understand the tradition they are working within.
Yet ‘Korplish Sedamon‘ is not presented merely as an exercise in nostalgia.
Its foundations may lie in old school death metal, but the focus remains on delivering those qualities with conviction in the present.
The riffs are direct and crushing, the drums strike with force, and the vocals remain buried deep within the more sinister end of the death metal spectrum.
There are no unnecessary distractions and little interest in softening the edges.
Korpsesoturi simply concentrate on what matters to them, delivering uncompromising death metal on their own terms.
The band comment:
“We extend our deepest gratitude to all who supported this album throughout its recording and mixing process, and to everyone who has followed us over the years. Special thanks to Brutal Records for believing in our vision and working with us with full confidence.”
The release also marks Korpsesoturi’s arrival on the international roster of Brutal Records, a partnership that appears well suited to the band’s uncompromising approach to extreme music.
With ‘Korplish Sedamon‘, Korpsesoturi offer an album stripped of unnecessary embellishment and driven instead by darkness, aggression and sheer heaviness.
For followers of Finnish death metal, it is another release worth putting firmly on the radar, while newcomers will find a direct introduction to a band determined to keep the genre brutal, raw and uncompromising.
