GET THROUGH

Montreal-based project Get Through emerges from the shadows with ‘A Brand New Start‘, a powerful return that transforms struggle into forward motion.
Led by multi-instrumentalist Alex Crowe, the track marks a defining moment – less a simple comeback single than a statement of resilience, built on the tension between collapse and renewal.
From its opening bars, the song leans into a weighty, hard rock foundation, driven by dense guitar work and a sense of restless urgency.
Yet beneath the surface aggression lies something more introspective.
The verses linger in a space of hesitation and self-doubt, reflecting the emotional paralysis that often follows failure and personal setbacks.
When the chorus finally breaks through, it does so with clarity and force, shifting the narrative toward release and determination.
It’s this contrast – between darkness and drive – that gives the track its impact.
Lyrically, ‘A Brand New Start‘ doesn’t shy away from difficult terrain.
Themes of pressure, inner conflict, and the lingering effects of past wounds are confronted head-on, but always with an eye toward transformation.
Rather than dwelling on the fall, the song reframes the breaking point as a catalyst – a moment where pain becomes fuel for change.
It’s a message that resonates precisely because it avoids easy resolution, instead offering something more grounded and hard-earned.
Musically, Get Through operates at the intersection of hard rock grit and progressive nuance.
The track’s dynamic structure, shifting between restrained tension and explosive release, underscores the emotional journey at its core.
Punchy riffs and melodic intensity are carefully balanced, creating a sound that is both immediate and layered, aggressive yet purposeful.
At the heart of the project is Alex Crowe’s commitment to storytelling rooted in lived experience.
Get Through functions as more than a musical outlet – it’s a vehicle for exploring complex and often uncomfortable realities, from emotional trauma to the broader spectrum of human vulnerability.
That depth is woven into the songwriting, where each track unfolds with a narrative arc that prioritizes authenticity over convention.
With influences that echo the melodic weight of bands like Alter Bridge, Creed, and Tremonti, Get Through channels familiar elements into something distinctly personal.
‘A Brand New Start‘ stands as a clear marker of that identity:
a song that doesn’t just hit hard, but lingers – anchored in emotion, driven by purpose, and ultimately focused on what comes next.
