In 2021, the latest BODYGUERRA album ‘Fire & Soul’ was released worldwide on Fastball Music and quickly placed in the official German rock and metal charts.
The new album ‘Invictus’ will be released worldwide on September 15th, 2023 and will set new standards for the band.
The four-piece band around singer Ela Sturm, guitarist Guido Stoecker and the two new band members Robert Brenner on bass and Jason Steve Mageney on drums once again impresses with an incomparably original performance and presents authentic and handmade rock music.
With the new songs, BODYGUERRA clearly set themselves apart from their previous album in terms of songwriting and production.
Stomping rock numbers (‘Blood And Stones’), driving up-tempo numbers (‘Twilight’), the extremely bluesy-groovy ‘She Bop’ or the impressive acapella number ‘My Mother Told Me’ all come together to create an entertaining album that is just plain fun.
Producer Rolf Munkes from EMPIRE Studios (i. a. the current guitarist from CREMATORY) once again provides the necessary crisp sound to give the new songs the fitting powerful rock sound.
BODYGUERRA’s live presence causes goosebumps right from the start and fires up the audience massively when Ela opens the show with her powerful voice and the question
“ARE YOU READY TO ROOOOOOCK ?!”
BODYGUERRA already rocked e. g. with Graham Bonnet (Rainbow/MSG) and as very special guests with the legendary Brits from THE SWEET and will play further shows next autumn to present their new album.
The first single ‘C’mon, Tell Me’ and the corresponding music video were already released on August, 25.
Two more singles/video clips will follow in the coming weeks to support the album and upcoming concerts.

When Ela and Guido decided to write songs at the end of 2019, Guido searched through his large archive ofideas, demo recordings and pre-productions.
Including an early version of a song that shortly afterwards became “Steelheart”.
After a few musical changes, “Steelheart” was one of the first songs that Ela had completed with text and melody in a very short time.
Recorded at Empire Studios by Rolf Munkes, an active musician (Crematory) himself, the title quickly became a catchy tune even for the studio crew.
“Steelheart”
is a mentor of life, an advisor in good and bad times, someone you can rely on, who is loyal and undaunted by your side.
A timeless topic, but one that has been given a new emphasis in current times.
More rocking than its predecessor “Believe”, “Steelheart”also conveys the subject matter of the lyrics from the first to the last minute.
Performed with the typical Bodyguerra guitars, a groove of drums and bass that left you nothing but foot tapping and dancing and a hookline that catches you from the first second and never let go.
Released on all major digital portals worldwide via Fastball Music / Bob-Media.
Including the instrumental backing track to sing-along as B-side.
