This new album is a raw and atmospheric journey through desolation, sorrow, and the decaying remnants of civilization.
‘Crimson Fields of Sorrow‘ immerses the listener in a sonic battlefield — frigid riffs, melancholic ambient textures, and vocals steeped in anguish come together to form an unforgettable soundscape.
The record explores themes of war, existential decay, and inner torment, with lyrics presented in Ukrainian.

Vyr Muk is a musical project of Vladyslav Blizniuk from Kharkiv, Ukraine, which debuted in 2023.
The project works in the genres of black/death metal and ambient, with a focus on dark, deep themes.
The new EP ‘Shadows Falling On The Dead Cities‘ released on October 31, 2024 is the first non-demo release in the genre of black/death metal dedicated to the war in Ukraine.
Apart from the gloomy instrumental intro, each track on the album conveys different horrors of war:
‘Intro’:
“The acoustic guitar instrumental intro, accompanied by subtle orchestration, sets a deep, somber tone, conjuring an atmosphere where ghostly visions seem to come alive. Yet, following this slow passage, the music unexpectedly pulls the listener in like a whirlpool, swirling upward into a dizzying intensity.”
‘In the Captivity of Suffering’:
“Is a song that plunges the listener into the depths of captivity’s torment. Its lyrics delve into themes of physical and mental anguish, conveying the relentless desperation and fight for survival that linger in every line, even when hope is nearly extinguished.”
‘Kaleidoscope of Horror’:
“Immerses the listener in the bleak atmosphere of a ruined city. Every line radiates the sense of hopelessness and the heavy, oppressive silence left in the wake of devastation. The song stands as an anthem of decay, a haunting reminder of the grim fate of those consumed by war.”
‘Dead Forest’:
“Is a musical protest against nature’s destruction. The song portrays a once-thriving forest laid to waste by an aggressor, yet destined to rise anew from the ashes of its oppressors. Images of nature absorbing the blood and bodies of invaders as nourishment for fresh growth symbolize the earth’s resilience and memory. It is a story of retribution, where the devastated forest will flourish again, carrying with it the memory of every pain and sacrifice.”
