With those words echoing like an omen through the pines, Finnish black-metal visionary Valontuoja unleashes his second full-length offering, ‘Tulesta Syntynyt‘ (‘Born of Fire‘), released November 14th, 2025 via Inverse Records.
Forged by the solitary hand of multi-instrumentalist Jal’zoroth, Valontuoja once again channels the stark, feral energy of the North.
‘Tulesta Syntynyt‘ rises from the blaze of transformation and the stillness of the wilderness – a melodic black metal journey carved from flame, fate, and profound isolation.
Rooted in the eternal cycle of death and rebirth, the album burns with the intensity of solar fire and the instinctual pull of the hunt.
Wolves circle beneath a collapsing sky, destiny coils tighter around the throat, and each step deeper into the unknown becomes both a burden to bear and a moment of awakening.
Across the album’s spellbinding tracks, the listener is led through rites of passage:
the weight of primal responsibility, the search for belonging in the heart of the wild, and the austere clarity found only in absolute solitude.
Here, fire is more than destruction – it is refinement, purification, revelation.
‘Tulesta Syntynyt‘ is the sound of becoming, where the self is scorched, shaped, and reborn in an eternal blaze.
Ahead of the album’s release, Valontuoja unveiled its second single, ‘Välikappale‘.
Speaking about the track, Jal’zoroth offers a glimpse into its primal essence:
“In the heart of the forest, where the wind speaks only in whispers and the stars vanish from the sky, a predator moves unseen. ‘Välikappale’ is a raw invocation of the hunter spirit – a vessel of death, a servant of bloodthirsty gods, cloaked in silence and shadow. The wolves howl. The earth drinks. Fate is written in blood.”
With ‘Tulesta Syntynyt‘, Valontuoja sharpens his sonic blade and steps deeper into the wild mythos he began crafting on his debut – emerging fiercer, clearer, and more unrelenting than before.

The man behind Valontuoja, Jal’zoroth comments the single:
“From the depths of the withered forest, where roots bleed skyward and the dead sing through stone-choked lungs, emerges a hymn to entropy. ‘Ympyrä Joka Syö Itseään’ is a black metal descent into the sacred void, where silence turns inward, where gods remain unnamed, and where birth itself is only death in disguise. This is the sound of a frozen serpent devouring itself in slow ritual. This is hunger eternal. This is the forest that swallows all.”
