With a range in expression from delicate acoustic or semi-acoustic parts to booming and powerful guitar riff driven excursions. The songs will typically revolve around solid melodies rather than technical instrument details, and for my sake I did find some similarities in sound and execution with the more typical heavy metal bands of the 1980s. In this case with the powerful and melodic lead vocals probably having a lot to say for this association to be formed. The Mourning was born out of Johnny Ray’s personal journey through struggles like anxiety, PTSD, and depression.

This album features the exceptional guitar work of Berklee alumnus Francesco Pinter and includes stunning guest solos from notable musicians like Charlie Robbins of Syncatto and Artificial Language, Thomas Griggs of Intervals, Jeff Pogan, formerly of Suicidal Tendencies, and Trey Xavier of Gear Gods. Alex Nasla served as both producer and keyboardist on ‘Hush’, bringing his signature synth and orchestral touch, ensuring the album’s sound is both dynamic and cohesive.”

Three days before recording ‘Hush‘, the band discovered that their guitarist hadn’t learned the material.
Taking a bold risk, they flew in Francesco Pinter from Italy, a friend of Johnny’s who they barely knew at the time.
Francesco not only learned the parts but recorded the entire album in five weeks and later joined the band permanently.

From this, we conceived the idea of a superperson: someone who could not only take on our emotional distress but also remove it. This concept still leads millions to implore a divine power in the face of suffering, instead of taking action themselves. With ‘He Cries’, a melancholic song from the upcoming album ‘Hush’, we addresses this universal human tendency.
