Since emerging from Ottawa’s vibrant rock underground in 2017, Taming Sari have steadily built a reputation for hook-driven songwriting and high-voltage live performances.
Now, the band steps into a new chapter with not one but two defining releases that signal both evolution and renewed ambition.
Their latest single, ‘Tea & Honey‘, arrives wrapped in swagger and mischief – a teasing love song about the kind of girl who keeps you guessing.
Playful yet razor-sharp, sweet but impossible to pin down, the track mirrors its subject through unexpected musical turns.
Produced and recorded by Ross Hayes Citrullo of The Commoners – a two-time JUNO Award nominee – the song thrives on dynamic shifts and subtle surprises.
Just when the groove feels settled, a twist in arrangement or texture pulls the listener somewhere new, reinforcing the song’s flirtatious unpredictability.
The accompanying video, produced by emerging Ottawa filmmaker Sebastian Ribeiro, leans fully into humor.
It follows frontman Warren Meredith as he wakes to discover his bandmates – now absorbed in entirely different professions – have seemingly forgotten they were ever part of Taming Sari.
What unfolds is a tongue-in-cheek reunion story, complete with a final twist that ties the narrative together in appropriately playful fashion.
The release follows the band’s June 2025 comeback single, ‘Falling in Love Again‘, their first new music since 2023.
Also produced by Citrullo, the summer-ready anthem captures the cyclical nature of love and life.
