2021 — the year after the worst in memory.
A time to restart.
A time to crank the amps and hit the drums louder than ever.
Formed in February 2021 in the Nottingham area, Syncolima wasted no time.
Within four months, they had written their 10-track debut ‘Where The End Meets The Beginning‘, recorded at Arch Studios in Nottinghamshire.
Born out of frustration and two years of silence, the record was a fierce statement – pure groove, grit, and heart.
In 2022, the band returned to the studio, this time at Electric Bear Studios, to begin work on their second album.
Released in April 2023, ‘Wavelengths’ built on their debut’s foundation with harder riffs, deeper grooves, and rawer emotion.
When original drummer Gazz stepped away in 2023, Harry took over behind the kit, injecting new fire into the band.
Weeks later, he made his live debut – marking the start of a new era for Syncolima.
Now, in 2025, Syncolima is locked and loaded.
After teasing fans with a string of singles from their forthcoming third album ‘Move Mountains‘, the trio shows no sign of slowing down.
‘Shipwrecked‘ drives forward with relentless, no-nonsense rhythms, while ‘Black Dog and the Bleak Sky‘ opens with a powerful bassline from Chris Daughton – the driving force of this prog-infused, experimental stoner rock track.
Its subject matter cuts deep, confronting themes of depression, low self-esteem, and self-doubt.
With ‘Move Mountains‘ complete, Syncolima continues to evolve – powered by Harry’s dynamic drumming and a sharper, more deliberate approach to songwriting.
Lyrically, the new record faces the world head-on:
exploring the effects of social media, the weight of modern life, and the struggles of mental health in 2025.
‘Move Mountains’ fuses the groove of stoner rock, the angst of grunge, and the unstoppable power of the riff.
Syncolima stands as a force of heaviness, hooks, and heart – unyielding and unmistakably their own.
Beauty and brutality.
Chemistry and cohesion.
A thunderous journey through riffs, groove, and gloom…
