Rogue Awakening are making waves once again with their latest release, the haunting single ‘Taste of Sorrow‘.
The British newcomers continue to carve their niche in the darker realms of alternative rock, blending emotional intensity with gothic undertones.
Unlike traditional storytelling, ‘Taste of Sorrow‘ draws its strength from raw emotion and instinct.
The lyrics
“Let me taste your sorrow, broken by the rules you follow”
capture a sense of inner turmoil and vulnerability that feels both intimate and universal.
Earlier in 2025, the female-fronted outfit unveiled ‘Little Death‘, a track exploring obsession, mental confinement, and the desperate urge for liberation.
Frontwoman Kimberley explains,
“It’s about being stuck in an unhealthy and obsessive state of mind but wanting desperately to escape it.”
The band embraces a deep fascination with dark and gothic imagery – a theme that flows through both their sound and visuals.
“We loved making this track as it locks into a lot of dark, gothic themes that really resonate with us as a band,”
Kimberley adds.
“The video was great fun as well, filled with Day of the Dead symbolism and ideas of sex, death, and mortality. We’re really excited to hear what our fans think of it.”
With ‘Taste of Sorrow‘, Rogue Awakening continue to build on their emerging reputation as one of the UK’s most compelling new acts – balancing vulnerability and power, beauty and decay, in a sound that feels both modern and timeless.

Coming at you from Horsham, England, and originally founded in 2021, ROGUE AWAKENING are swiftly making new friends and gaining new fans.
Unleashing a sound that is soaked with biting riffs, hammering drums, and powerful vocals, the band draw from a raft of metal artists but also cunningly knit together a wealth of melodic influences.
The finished result is formidable and completely compelling.
Fast gaining acclaim for their live show, the talented quintet have built up a strong fanbase throughout the South, aided by a string of commanding and prominent live performances.

‘Bloodflow’
Brit newcomers ROGUE AWAKENING throw down the gauntlet with their ultra-enticing new single and video, ‘Bloodflow‘, which arrives everywhere on Friday 1st November.
Formed in Horsham, UK, and fast gaining a reputation for a deeply captivating sound that is drenched with crunching riffs, thunderous drums, and powerhouse vocal lines, ROGUE AWAKENING pull from the world of metal but also merge a slew of melodic influences creating a diverse tapestry of work that is as engaging as it is alluring.
Comprised of Kimberley (lead vocals), Ollie (lead guitar), Nick (bass and backing vocals), Tom (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), and Jordan (drums), ROGUE AWAKENING were originally formed in 2021, however, it’s the last twelve months that have really started to shape the quintet.
2023’s debut EP, ‘Feed Me Fire‘, helped to put the band on the map, and their last single, ‘The Hunter‘, racked up strong radio support, including spins on BBC Introducing.
A potent live schedule has also elevated the towering riff merchants, and so too has their recent performance at Guilfest.
The next chapter is ready to be written as the band release their mesmerising new single, ‘Bloodflow‘, which showcases the fivesome’s growing stature and songwriting prowess.

“’Bloodflow’ is an observation on individuals who tend to ‘people please’ at the detriment of their own happiness and boundaries. The song and the theme came together effortlessly, and it was a great experience recording and fine tuning the song together in the studio.”
