Hailing from South Holland, Rise of the Wood carve their own path between rock and metal – sometimes leaning toward raw, riff-driven rock, other times embracing a heavier, more metallic edge.
What remains constant is their trademark blend of groove, melody, energy, and power.
Their music invites audiences to move, shout along, and become part of the experience.
Formed in 2014, Rise of the Wood quickly made their mark with a series of well-received releases, earning praise both nationally and internationally.
Their growing discography includes a promo, the debut full-length album ‘First Seed‘, an EP, several singles and music videos, and their latest full-length record, ‘Discharge’ – an independent release that showcases the band’s evolution and creative strength.
Over the years, the band has undergone several lineup changes, each bringing fresh inspiration and new musical influences.
The current five-piece lineup has solidified the band’s identity – more diverse, dynamic, and unified than ever.
Constantly writing and exploring new directions, Rise of the Wood continue to expand their sound while staying true to their signature powergroove foundation.
On stage, their energetic performances have made them a standout act in the Dutch rock and metal scene, with notable appearances at DijkRock, WaterPop, and WesterPop festivals among their many live highlights.
