depression.
This ‘disease’ impacts a lot of people and also Queen of Spades personally.
The song describes the way you feel when you are depressed:
“The battle between light and dark, it feels like the depression is trying to seduce you into the dark and that it feels better to go there. We know it’s hard to stay strong when everything around you is pulling you under. ‘Stagnant’ means not growing or developing. When you feel depressed you can’t grow or develop yourself. When you step out of the dark you can! This song is also a message for people who are dealing with depression to talk to someone and that the answer is not to go into the dark. It may seem better to not be here anymore, but it’s not. YOU ARE LOVED!”
