Dutch extreme metal pioneers Pestilence have announced the dates for their upcoming European ‘Entering The Portals Tour 2026‘.
The extensive run will kick off on March 25 in Ljubljana and stretch across the continent before concluding on October 18 in Athens at the Kyttaro Live Club, where they will be joined by special guests Dead Congregation and opening act Abyssus.
Formed in the late 1980s in the Netherlands, Pestilence quickly rose to the forefront of the European extreme metal movement.
Landmark albums such as ‘Malleus Maleficarum‘, ‘Consuming Impulse‘, ‘Testimony of the Ancients‘, and ‘Spheres‘ have long since secured their place in the genre’s history.
Across four decades, the band have remained synonymous with technical precision, dark atmosphere, and the unmistakable creative signature of founding member Patrick Mameli, whose songwriting, guitar work, and vocals have shaped the group’s identity since the very beginning.
In the past decade, Pestilence have experienced a strong resurgence, returning to the stage with renewed energy while continuing to release new material and perform extensively across Europe and North America.
That momentum now continues with the band’s forthcoming tenth studio album ‘Portals‘, scheduled for release on April 24, 2026.
The ‘Entering The Portals Tour 2026′ will support the new record while also revisiting the band’s influential catalog.
For longtime fans, the tour offers a chance to experience the material that helped define an entire era of extreme metal.
For newer listeners, it’s an opportunity to witness one of the genre’s most influential bands still pushing forward, decades after helping shape the very foundations of the sound.
