German post-hardcore heavyweights ANNISOKAY have opened a new chapter by closing one.
With ‘Abyss – The Final Chapter‘, out via Arising Empire, the band delivers the dramatic conclusion to their celebrated ‘Abyss‘ era – a trilogy that has reshaped their identity, expanded their sonic horizons, and elevated their global stature.
Their latest effort stands among their most ambitious and emotionally charged releases to date, pushing the ANNISOKAY signature – crushing heaviness, towering hooks, and brooding electronic undercurrents – to its most refined extreme.
Frontman Rudi Schwarzer unleashes some of his fiercest performances yet, while Chris Wieczorek counterbalances with sweeping atmospheric cleans and massive melodic choruses.

Founded in 2007, ANNISOKAY have long been regarded as one of Germany’s most compelling heavy exports, pairing technical musicianship with an international sound.
The band has toured extensively throughout Europe, the UK, Japan, and the USA, and cultivated a dedicated following across Eastern Europe with headline runs in Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine – including support appearances for PARKWAY DRIVE in sold-out arenas in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The band’s ascent accelerated in 2014 with a signing to SPV, leading to three studio albums charting in the German Top 100.
In 2018, the band shifted to Arising Empire, releasing ‘Arms‘ the same year – earning their highest chart position yet at #26.
Their name pays homage to a pop icon:
inspired by the famous line ‘Annie, are you okay?‘ from Michael Jackson’s ‘Smooth Criminal‘.
In 2016, the band honored that legacy with their cover EP ‘Annie Are You Okay?‘.
