After a successful South American tour in October, Where’s My Bible has released the awaited second single ‘Creator of Abyss’ from their upcoming album.
With this release the band will show their darkest side so far.
In addition to sinister death metal, the band brings elements of black metal to their sound to create this gorgeous song.
Starting their new era in 2022 by releasing concept EP ‘Circle’, Where’s My Bible will continue with a distinctive sound that introduces new melodic elements – ancient instruments and Scandinavian mythology.
With this sound they will continue thriving forward to the year 2024 and releasing their new album at the start of the year.
The new album will tell stories about the human mind through metaphors and tales from Scandinavian mythology, as the album’s first single ‘Fenrir’ also did.
In addition to these stories and compositions, the band will present more amazing music videos that bring the tales of the songs to life.
Vocalist Jussi Matilainen Comments:
“‘Creator of Abyss’ is a song that deviates thematically from the upcoming album’s main theme. Of course, it still delves into the intricacies of the human mind, but the mood of the song strongly takes you to darker places. The story is about a very serious disease that ravages a person and eventually takes its victim with it. It is a story about how this kind of illness not only exhausts the sick person, but also eats away at his loved ones mentally and even physically – how mental well-being is corrupted and suffering increases. In this song, we wanted to create this disease as a physical entity that only causes destruction around it and eats in abundance endlessly. ‘Creator of Abyss’ is one of the darkest songs we’ve ever released and therefore fits perfectly with that story. It has been our intention for some time to write a song about such a topic and as soon as this song was composed, we knew that the two fit together seamlessly. As before, I immediately got a certain vision of the music video and its story when I first heard the song. Over the years, we have formed such a perfect and tight-knit group that we were able to capture the vision and the story perfectly in the music video. This might even be the best music video in the history of Where’s My Bible.”

Finnish melodic death metal band Where’s My Bible released new single and music video ‘Fenrir’.
The track is taken from the upcoming studio album.
The band will start their South America tour at the end of September performing in Brazil, Chile, Peru and Argentina.
The tour is made in cooperation with the Come To Latin America – project and Xaninho Discos.
On the 20th of October the band will play their last show in Lahti, Finland supporting Bloodred Hourglass before entering the studio and finalizing their upcoming new album which will be released in 2024.
Vocalist Jussi Matilainen Comments:
“The lyrics are a combination of the human mind and Nordic mythology as a metaphor. In the song ‘Fenrir’ we focus on bringing the story to life with theatrics adding a poetic style of narration to it, like in the old days. The song is about Fenrir the wolf eating the sun when Ragnarok starts and thus setting an end to an era and launching a mythical apocalypse. The main idea behind this story is; what is your Fenrir? What is the big bad beast to destroy your own world? Fenrir can be a real thing and alive because of your own creation. It can be an unsolved problem in your life you never took care of and it haunts you in the dark of night. In this song, we included nearly a thousand-year-old instruments such as the kravik lyre (which is self-made) and the tagelharpa to enhance the narrative and its mythical essence. The theme of the album itself revolves strongly around Nordic mythology and the human mind, especially during the night time. We will open this concept more later on but now is a great time to follow us.”
Guitarist Pasi Löfgren comments:
“The upcoming album follows musically the same path of style as the ‘Circle’ EP by bringing it to an even deeper level. On ‘Fenrir’ I wanted to include more of our technical playing combined with beautiful melodies and heavy riffs. And I couldn’t be happier how it turned out. With new added elements like kravik lyre and tagelharpa at the end of the song makes a great mix of technicality, melodiousness and heaviness and it is a perfect first taste of what you can expect from the album.”
Olli Tiainen comments (Video director):
“Although it’s just about music videos, I feel that when making Where’s My Bible’s videos, we’re always dealing with something significant and meaningful, and ‘Fenrir’ is no exception. From my perspective the story is trying to convey a message where our minds can lead us to imagine problems and fear the worst. Even though these things exist only in our minds, over time, they grow and begin to affect our experience of reality. The inner world cannot be escaped; it must be confronted; otherwise, our fears will chain us in darkness. Where’s My Bible’s videos are not just gloominess for the sake of gloominess, but there’s always a greater message in the background.”

Singer Jussi Matilainen comments:
“Winter, death, deep end. Story gets to the breakdown. Exhaustion and hopelessness dance around hand in hand and it’s so dark that it’s hard to remember existence of light. Hope a distant memory and journey so heavy, like something is dragging you. Towards the end… As a song this is hands down the heaviest and darkest we have gone, which is close to my heart, and I feel like I’m on my area of strength with this one. I have waited releasing this part extremely much and I’m excited to see the reaction.”
Drummer Teppo Ristola continues:
“Before I told the band that I was interested in a regular place as a drummer, I knew the upcoming songs would be strong and the band would take a step forward. This particular song most influenced my decision to inquire if the permanent drummer’s seat would still be open. I think the song combines exactly the new and darker side that the band represents today. The journey is just beginning!”

“Void a.k.a Autumn…the Story continues. We dive deeper into the human mind. A beautiful video but inside it will be a stormy dark path. (The video will be beautiful but the visuals/mood/context/story/etc. will be a stormy dark path). This part of the story is about the feeling when you are deep in your depression and every step will be heavier than the other. How will you survive? If you even have any reason to, or how that feeling leads you to an even darker place where there’s nothing left anymore. And how it’s all real for you. Even the people near you can’t see your personal apocalypse and what’s inside you. What comes to the song, I really love it. ‘Cause it’s more melodic and melancholic than anything else in wmb:s history. Beautiful piece of art.”
Guitarist Pasi Löfgrén continues:
“With this song we wanted to do something slower, more melodic and beautiful but also big and heavy to support the lyrics. I like this song very much and I can’t wait to get to play it live even though it brings new challenges for myself because here I jumped to take more care of clean singing along with guitar.”

“When it comes to the storyline of EP and videos they are all connected to each other and it tells a multidimensional story about mental health problems, mainly focusing on depression. I love to use metaphors in lyrics so Circle is more diverse than you might imagine at the first hear. i believe listening/watching after times it opens up over and over again to the listener. Fun to see what kind of experiences people will have from ‘Circle’. “
Guitarist Pasi Löfgrén continues:
“In new material the band have taken new direction to a more modern metal but still having our own sound. The new material will be definitely darker than earlier stuff, serving bigger sound elements including some brutal, melodic and some fast stuff. It will be bigger and heavier W.M.B than ever than before.”
Guitarist Toni Hinkkala concludes:
“I’m not saying that the journey with this release has been easy but now at the time of the release I can proudly say that everything has been worth it…A step to the dark side can also bring something beautiful with it…”

Where’s My Bible is a Finnish metal band formed in Heinola in 2014.
Their music blends rock and punk influences with death/black metal.
Band’s first EP released in early 2016, ‘The Beginning’ was a major milestone for the band, which is reflected in the title itself.
Where’s My Bible made their live debut in the spring of 2016 in their hometown of Heinola.
The band continued to play assorted shows during the year, and ended up recording a new song featuring Leevi Luoto of One Morning Left and Atlas.
‘Failure’ was accompanied by the band’s first music video directed by the young and talented Olli Tiainen.
Moving on to 2017, the band entered the inaugural Tuska-Torstai competition hosted by the Tuska Open Air metal festival, winning the contest by storm and securing a spot opening the main stage.
In 2018, the band released their stunning debut album ‘M’N’R’ (Mosh ‘N’ Roll).
After the release the band had been touring hard and a new era was about to begin as these crazy metalrockers released their single ‘King Of The Hill’ in October 2019.
In April 2020 the band continues stronger than ever and releases a new single with a great music video ‘Werewolves Of Ghost Town’.
There are many new elements in the song but still fully recognizable Where´s My Bible.
During the pandemic, the band has been working hard and is now set to release their upcoming EP ‘Circle’.
In the new material the band has taken a new direction to a more modern metal but still having their own sound.
The new material will be darker than the earlier production, serving bigger sound elements including some brutal, melodic and some fast elements.
It will be bigger and heavier W.M.B than ever before.
There also will be music videos for all the songs on the new EP.
When it comes to the storyline of EP and videos they all are connected to each other and tells a multidimensional story about mental health problems, mainly focusing on depression.
