‘Wash’

With a sound that drips in distortion, melancholy, and raw introspection, Loud George returns with ‘Wash‘, a haunting new track that grips you by the collar and doesn’t let go.
Blending elements of 90s grunge with a modern alt rock edge, ‘Wash‘ captures the weight of emotional fatigue, existential despair, and quiet disintegration, all wrapped in fuzzed-out guitars and a heavy, soul-bent delivery.
“Driven by the lyric ‘This feeling washes over me’, the song is a slow-burning plunge into the mind’s darker corners. It speaks to what we bury, what we medicate, and what we try to outrun, and ultimately, what catches up with us. There’s no fake polish here, no gloss, just a raw, resonant punch that fans of Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, or Nothing But Thieves will feel deep in their bones. Loud George isn’t here to save you, he’s just singing what you’re scared to say out loud.”

Loud George’s new track ‘Blue‘ is a sinister shape-shifter.
With lyrics that paint a surreal picture of subversion and decay, ‘Blue‘ flips the script on vulnerability and power.
What starts as a cryptic lament
(“Distress is my disguise/Cry in mother tongue”)
quickly mutates into something far more dangerous.
The chorus – “Fresh Meat/So Sweet/Let’s eat” – is as catchy as it is unnerving, a grotesque chant that pulses with a kind of grotesque glee.
Whether it’s a metaphor for societal consumption, psychological warfare, or just a beast within waiting to pounce, ‘Blue‘ doesn’t spoon-feed the listener.
Instead, it dares them to chew.
Loud George blurs the line between predator and prey, between enemy and saviour.
The song’s progression is slow-burning yet fierce, with a sonic atmosphere that feels both bloated and hollow, content and diseased – perfectly mirroring the themes of infiltration and decay.
‘Blue‘ is less a cry for help and more a warning growl from the shadows.
In a world full of noise, ‘Blue‘ is the quiet monster waiting behind the curtain.
“You’ll think you’ve heard it before – until it’s too late.”
Earlier this year Loud George has released singles ‘Monster‘ and ‘Roses‘.
‘Monster’ is the ferocious second single from their upcoming album, ‘Sex Teeth‘, and it’s a game-changer.
This isn’t just another grunge-laced banger – it’s the sound of a band kicking down the door to something heavier, wilder, and completely unhinged.
From the first riff, ‘Monster’ is a full-throttle adrenaline rush.
Relentless guitars tear through the mix, backed by thunderous drums that hit like a sledgehammer.
“And just when you think it can’t get any bigger, the face-melting solo arrives, cutting through the chaos with razor-sharp precision. The chorus? Absolutely infectious – built to shake venues and lodge itself in your brain for days.”
With ‘Sex Teeth‘, Loud George are pushing their sound to the edge, evolving into something darker and more aggressive while keeping the raw grit that made them stand out in the first place.
“If you like your music loud, unfiltered, and dangerous, ‘Monster’ is your new anthem. Turn it up and let it take over.”
While ‘Roses’ is the blistering first single from their second album ‘Sex Teeth‘.
This half-time emo anthem is a masterclass in dark intensity, packing hypnotic basslines, chaotic drum fills, and searing guitar riffs that demand to be cranked to full volume.
Eric Hayes’ gut-wrenching, scream-your-lungs-out vocals ooze raw emotion, delivering a performance that’s as captivating as it is unrestrained.
His lyrics paint a hauntingly poetic picture of decay and isolation – a figure lying among roses, decomposing under the wild expanse of night.
It’s eerie, evocative, and unapologetically powerful.
Loud George’s sound has matured since their hard-hitting 2023 debut, but their feral energy remains untamed.
“‘Roses’ is more than a song – it’s a visceral experience, a sonic punch to the gut that will leave you breathless. Add it to your playlist and prepare to get lost in the chaos.”
Loud George is a grunge band formed by Eric Hayes, Nick Baxter and Sam Smith in 2010.
They wanted to create something raw, unfiltered and carefree.
They wrote songs with three chords and catchy choruses, like ‘Bottle’.
The songs were gritty, dark and ferocious, with a touch of melody and apathy.
The self titled album was rough around the edges.
They played gigs in Manchester with original and punked up cover songs, but they faded out after 2 years due to lack of direction and experience.
They left behind some fuzzy live videos and demo recordings.
10 years later, Eric reconnected with Nick and Sam and they revived Loud George.
Using their home studios, they polished their old songs and released their debut album.
Matured like a fine wine, and with some life experience, Loud George are back in business.
