Hard To Explain is a metal band hailing from Northern Ireland, forged in the challenges of the recent pandemic.
This formidable four-piece delivers crushing riffs, raw energy, and melodic depth, promising live shows that are nothing short of electrifying.
Blending aggression with soaring melodies, they’re poised to make a significant mark on the modern metal scene.
Channeling the relentless power of classic nu-metal with a contemporary edge, Hard To Explain fuse crushing breakdowns with spitfire aggression.
Fans can expect relentless energy, unforgettable anthems, and performances that resonate long after the final note.
On November 7th, 2025, the band will release their debut full-length album, ‘Hell To Pay‘.
Earlier in 2025, they teased their arrival with the singles ‘S!CK‘, ‘Wolves‘, ‘Lust‘, and the title track ‘Hell To Pay‘.
‘S!CK‘ is a venomous storm of hard rock and nu-metal fury, lashing out at betrayal.
With gut-punching riffs, searing vocals, and raw emotion, it’s more than a song – it’s a reckoning.
From the opening line, listeners are pulled into the wreckage of a toxic relationship, where regret turns to rage and reflection becomes retaliation.
The lyrics strike hard:
“It’s not the fact you’re gone that hurts the most, it’s that I believed we could achieve anything.”
The chorus
“Oh god, you make me sick”
erupts with unfiltered fury, propelled by pounding drums and guttural vocals.
The track crescendos in an explosive climax, a declaration of personal vengeance:
“You can’t imagine the chain reaction when I’m still standing and you’re the bitch!”
‘Wolves‘ is a blood-pumping battle cry of unity, survival, and defiance.
Driven by feral riffs, relentless drums, and a venom-laced breakdown, it’s a sonic assault that celebrates loyalty and resilience.
The lyrics bite deep:
“We were raised by wolves/We hunt at night.”
It’s a raw anthem for outsiders, fighters, and those who refuse to back down – a howl of midnight fury and tribal energy forged in fire and moonlight.
The title track, ‘Hell To Pay‘, is a devastating collision of alt-rock, nu-metal, and hard rock, weaving tales of damnation, occult ritual, and the inescapable cost of sin.
From the opening verse:
“Drawn in deep, through candle smoke, salted flames burn through my bones,”
to the unrepentant chorus:
“No prayers escaped, there’s hell to pay,”
the song immerses listeners in a dark, ritualistic atmosphere of punishing guitars, thunderous drums, and vocals that bleed with fury.
‘Hell To Pay‘ is a testament to the fact that some sins cannot be erased – and some debts demand blood.
