Glory’s Gate is a Christian rock band from Washington, Illinois, founded in 2017 and led by the father–son duo J.T. Marshall and Jon Anthony.
Blending heavy guitars, soaring synthesizers, and rock-driven vocals with strong AOR influences, the band delivers a powerful and uplifting sound.
The lineup includes Jon Anthony (synthesizer, guitar, vocals), J.T. Marshall (songwriting, lead vocals), Brian Firmand (lead guitar), Casey Young (drums, vocals), Robyn Davis (guitar, bass, vocals), and Todd Akers Jr. (bass).
Their music centers on faith, hope, and resilience, offering encouragement to listeners – especially young people – facing challenges such as depression.
Their debut album, ‘Stay Strong‘ (2018), earned them recognition and led to performances at major events including the Gospel Spin Awards in Atlanta and Unite Fest in Peoria, Illinois.
In 2023, they followed up with their second album, ‘Reign‘.
Glory’s Gate now presents their Southern Rock ballad, ‘How Do I Love You‘, inspired by the film ‘I Can Only Imagine‘ by MercyMe.
After watching the movie and reflecting on its message, J.T. Marshall looked back over his own life and recognized the depth of his own brokenness – and the grace and patience of those who loved him.
The result is a heartfelt song born not over a lifetime of writing, but from a lifetime of reflection.
