Glitch Kill released their most punishing track yet, ‘Bound and Dragged‘ – a relentless fusion of Metal, Metalcore, and Alt Metal brutality.
With razor-sharp riffs, bone-splitting breakdowns, and an atmosphere soaked in venom, the band delivers a sonic assault that pulls the listener deep into the shadows.
From the haunting whispers of the intro to the pulverizing Slayer-inspired breaks, ‘Bound and Dragged‘ thrives on chaos and precision.
The track’s lyrics paint a harrowing descent – a life pulled into darkness, bound by inner torment, and dragged across the burning coals of consequence.
Each verse hammers with imagery that is as poetic as it is merciless, while the chorus crushes with an unforgettable hook drenched in aggression and despair.
Glitch Kill captures the essence of modern heavy music:
cinematic heaviness, gut-wrenching emotion, and technical savagery in perfect balance.
Earlier on in 2025 this American roaring crew had already released three other singles, ‘Tempest‘, ‘Kuato‘, and ‘Reign In Spite‘.
Glitch Kill crashes into the metal scene with Tempest – a visceral, unrelenting dive into emotional collapse, internal war, and clawing one’s way out of the wreckage.
From its opening lines to its final, defiant scream, the track is a sonic pressure cooker that rages through themes of shame, loss, and personal apocalypse.
With razor-sharp riffs, guttural urgency, and a poetic yet ferocious lyrical style, ‘Tempest’ isn’t just a song – it’s a reckoning.
The band weaves a storm of crushing breakdowns, haunting melodies, and relentless pacing, capturing the feeling of being pulled under by forces both internal and external.
Lines like
“You can’t move, you can’t scream, you can’t dream”
hit like a gut punch – raw, real, and unfiltered.
But through the chaos, a truth emerges:
‘You can break the cycle. You can scream. And you can survive‘.
From beginning to end, ‘Kuato‘ is a sonic gut punch that refuses to pull back.
This GLITCHKILL release is pure, unfiltered ferocity – a blast of crunchy riffs, relentless drums, and a message that cuts deep.
Right out of the gate, ‘Kuato’ grabs hold and doesn’t let go.
The band masterfully blends raw aggression with a lyrical narrative that hits close to home:
‘The battle with your own mind’.
This isn’t just heavy music for the sake of being heavy – it’s a dive into the chaos of intrusive thoughts, the loss of control, and the terrifying moment when the line between self and creation blurs.
GLITCHKILL captures that descent with visceral energy, painting the internal warzone where survival means dominating the darkest corners of the psyche.
As the other songs ‘Reign In Spite‘ is also taken from the upcoming EP ‘Post Hominid‘.
The track is both a call to action and a dire warning of what’s to come, a relentless sonic assault.
Fueled by raw emotion and crushing instrumentals, ‘Reign In Spite‘ surges forward with unrelenting aggression, fusing industrial grit with punishing heaviness.
Frontman Shane Leon channels the chaos of real life and the apocalyptic destruction of Kaiju monster films, screaming of a creation born from ignorance – one that brings devastation to all who stand too close.
This is more than just a song – it’s an eruption of fury, a battle cry for those who refuse to back down.
Whether the monster is external or lurking within, once it’s unleashed, it will ‘Reign In Spite‘.
Brutal beats, crushing riffs, thunderous bass, and unorthodox vocal hooks – this is what sets Glitch Kill apart in California’s Central Valley metal scene.
With nearly a century of combined experience and an unrelenting passion for heavy music, this band isn’t just making waves – they’re making fans need a chiropractor.
Rising from the ashes of Etched in Stone, bassist David ‘Crusher‘ Yanez, guitarist Travis Miller, and drummer Aaron Jones formed Glitch Kill with one goal:
to create uncompromising, bone-crushing metal.
The lineup was solidified with the addition of vocalist Shane Leon, whose raw intensity gave the band its signature sound.
Forming just before the world shut down in 2020, Glitch Kill took advantage of the downtime to craft their debut EP, ‘Hindsight‘, which dropped on January 1st, 2021.
Now, with their follow-up EP ‘Post Hominid‘ in the works and the latest addition of Robert Cole throwing down as a second guitarist, the band is back in full force, delivering relentless live performances across the Central Valley, the Bay Area, Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Fresno, Santa Cruz, and beyond – wherever there’s a demand for heavy metal.
