Dead End Irony is a Heavy Metal band founded in Imatra, Finland in 2010, which has been welded into a diamond-like entity through years of hard work.
Like many bands, personnel changes have also had to be made over time, while the core group has remained together.
DEI has grown into a mature group, whose brilliant debut album ‘Battles & Brotherhood‘ has been released.
The album is an eight-song strong Heavy Metal record that honors the roots of the genre with a modern touch and an uncompromising attitude.
“We’ve been preparing this album for a long time and it’s great to finally have it out for the crowd to listen to. These songs embody what Heavy Metal is in 2025; melody, aggression and with a touch of epicness,”
says the band’s vocalist Vesa Winberg about the new ‘Battles and Brotherhood‘ album.
‘Battles & Brotherhood‘ was recorded at Teemu Aalto Music Production studio and the album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Teemu Aalto.
Earlier on the Finns had released the single ‘Catch My Soul‘.
The song is a heavy metal ballad with a chorus bigger than the Imatra rapids.
Verse comes with acoustic guitars, rhythm section is solid and guitar leads fits perfectly in the song with the powerful vocals.
The song was written by the band and it’s produced by Teemu Aalto (Insomnium, Ginger Evil, Marianas Rest).
The band’s singer and the song’s co-lyricist, Vesa Winberg:
“The song’s story about a father languishing in a prison camp and a son he never met is not only tragic but also unfortunately timely. It creates a charge in the song but also offers hope amidst the sorrow. We wanted both catchiness and a heavier rhythm in the song, and we succeeded in this with Teemu Aalto.”
