“We went back to the roots of our nation, the Swedish death metal scene. We then traversed away from it with our individual influences from Death, Thrash and Black metal. We are all from different schools and it makes for a good dynamic trio and blends groove, thrash and aggression!”
Crown of Decay is an, as bassist William Gallez describes it,
“old-school death metal, with crushing riffs and a bit of melody.”
William Gallez, Markus Jonsson and Robin Svensson started the band in Stockholm in 2023.
In 2024 they released their first self-titled debut EP.
This EP was written and produced by themselves and mastered by Magnus ‘Devo‘ Andersson (Ex Marduk).
In 2025 Crown of Decay (now a quintet) released their second EP named ‘The Rot Within‘.
