2013 Dominion in Pain
EP
2017 Final Act: Martyr
Full-length

Greek (based in Athens) metallers Black Path released the album ‘Of Paint and Ash‘, an excellent piece of technical death metal.
Splendid riffology, dynamic vocals and growls and high level song-writing, all given under a clear professional production.
“‘Of Paint and Ash’ is a deep exploration of internal conflict, weaving together themes of despair, perseverance, and the cyclical nature of human emotion. Drawing inspiration from the haunting atmosphere of the Dark Souls universe, the album journeys through shadowed landscapes, where every step feels heavy with consequence. Yet, amid the darkness, there is a relentless pursuit of meaning, making the struggle itself a reflection of the human experience. Black Path are committed to pushing their sound into deeper, more emotional realms is evident in every track, maintaining a perfect balance between growth and authenticity.”
Earlier on in 2025 Black Path had released already three singles from this second album.
These three songs were also accompanied by official video-clips.
‘Endless Madness‘ was the first sign of life after almost four years.
The song delves into a harrowing cycle of suffering, inspired by both the brutal reality of human exploitation and the bleak, cyclical nature of the Dark Souls universe.
Drawing from the haunting atmosphere of the Painted World of Ariandel, it intertwines imagery of decay, oppression and silent agony with the very real horrors of trafficking and violence against the vulnerable.
A world where innocence is smothered, and suffering is perpetual.
This song is a lament, a requiem for those trapped in cycles of despair.
The recording and production of ‘Endless Madness‘ were handled by John Kaneris and Kostas Mexis, mixing by John Kaneris and mastering by George Neratzis.
The artwork was created by Blastart (Terror Artwork), and the lyric video was produced by Andrea Mantelli Productions.
The second single was ‘Evermore‘.
A song that confronts the depths of grief, helplessness, and isolation.
The crushing weight of reliving the same emotions time and time again.
It speaks to the struggle of striving for change, only to face the same mistakes or arrive at an inevitable end.
It’s about searching for meaning within a relentless cycle of solitude.
Inspired by the Dark Souls universe, the song reflects a world where every choice carries weight, yet nothing truly alters the course – a haunting sense of purpose in the face of futility.
The band about this single:
“Our new single, peers into the abyss within. The endless void at the heart of man. Life is the canvas; we are the stain, the smudge, the accident. ‘Attic’ reflects the inescapable solitude we carry. We are the true darkness of this world. The song is heavily inspired by the story of Slave Knight Gael and the Painting woman of the Dark Souls trilogy’s ending. The artwork depicts a Corvian-like creature from the Dark Souls universe with the upper body of a woman. Symbolizing the never ending cycle of both fictional and real agony. The swords and blindfold are a reference to the ‘Eight of Swords’ tarot card. Symbolizes the feeling of being trapped and hopeless. Blinded by one’s own thoughts.”
The third and last single was ‘Attic‘.
The song is heavily inspired by the story of Slave Knight Gael and the Painting Woman of the Dark Souls trilogy’s ending,
“’Attic’ peers into the abyss within. The endless void at the heart of man. Life is the canvas; we are the stain, the smudge, the accident. ‘Attic’ reflects the inescapable solitude we carry. We are the true darkness of this world“.
