Los Angeles metal force Butcher Babies return with the second chapter of their ambitious double album project, ‘…Til the World’s Blind‘, following the powerful impact of the first installment, ‘Eye for an Eye‘.
Together, the two releases represent a bold new era for the band, combining their trademark aggression with a renewed sense of experimentation and creative freedom.
While both albums belong to the same musical journey, each record carries its own atmosphere and identity.
‘Eye for an Eye‘ was shaped by the band’s time away from Los Angeles, recording in Arizona and drawing inspiration from the vast, intense landscape of the desert.
In contrast, ‘…Til the World’s Blind‘ was created during a winter recording period in Michigan, and that colder environment is reflected in the album’s darker, more isolated atmosphere.
Musically, the second chapter reconnects with the raw energy of Butcher Babies’ earlier work while introducing unexpected elements that expand their sound.
One of the album’s most surprising moments is the band’s interpretation of Doja Cat’s ‘Saweetie‘, which transforms the modern hip hop track into a heavy metal statement driven by crushing riffs and Heidi Shepherd’s unmistakable vocal intensity.

The album also reveals a more emotional side of Butcher Babies.
The ballad ‘This Is The Part‘, featuring Chad Gray of Mudvayne, provides a powerful contrast to the record’s heavier material, showcasing the band’s ability to create moments of vulnerability alongside their usual intensity.
However, it is the most aggressive tracks where ‘…Til the World’s Blind‘ truly delivers its strongest impact.
Songs such as ‘Spittin’ Teeth‘ and ‘King Pin‘ capture the band’s trademark ferocity, built around massive grooves, relentless energy, and the uncompromising attitude that has defined Butcher Babies since their arrival on the metal scene.
The first part of the double album, ‘Eye for an Eye‘, further established this new chapter by celebrating the tenth anniversary of their acclaimed debut album ‘Goliath‘, originally released in 2013 via Century Media Records.
Rather than simply looking back, the band used the occasion as an opportunity to create something forward thinking, blending groove metal foundations with elements of thrash metal, alternative metal, and other influences.
