Games, Brrraaains, A Head-Banging Life:
“Brutal death metal enthusiasts rejoice!… Get in, make a st-ton of noise, wreck some bodies, and get out. That’s the mantra of this EP, and the mindset of Traumatomy, who deliver five of the nastiest and brutalising death metal tracks heard this year. With guitar riffs that are as thick as coagulated blood, bass hooks that rip through flesh as though they’ve emerged from a freshly opened Lament Configuration, drums that sound like a demon is hitting the skulls, ribcages, and stretched skin of its victims, and vocals that gurgle and growl like a creature driven to madness through hunger. This is Traumatomy’s sound, and it is fking mean. There’s no refresh of the brutal death metal sound here. No suggestion that Traumatomy are about to drop a melodic one out of the blue. No attempt to do anything but deliver brain-crushing heaviness at its best. Which is what Traumatomy do here. Delivering the kind of savage and sickening heaviness that leaves you with a headache, a sore neck, aching limbs, and the strong feeling of having been well and truly violated.”
95/100 – Acta Infernalis:
“There’s no change in sight for Traumatomy, who deliver a quarter-hour of thick, intense Slamming Brutal Death. ‘Triumph Of Enslavement’ won’t revolutionize the genre, but it will make you want to mosher every time you listen to it!”
8/10 – PowerMetal.de:
“TRAUMATOMY releases ‘Triumph Of Enslavement’, an EP that offers slam in its purest form, but which is attractively designed in terms of songwriting and rafinesses here and there, which reveals the many years of experience in this style, especially from guitarist Constantine Chevardin. Fans should be happy with this appetizer.”
The Metal Crypt:
“Well, this is short and sweet at just over 15 minutes. ‘Triumph of Enslavement’ is a nice little (tiny?) slab of brutal death metal that opens up with a mid-paced but heavy, crushing intro before swerving in a faster, but no less heavy, death metal onslaught. They do slow down, sometimes almost to a crawl, but the crushing heaviness is omnipresent, clickety drums included (OK, that has nothing to do with heaviness, but you do get the clickety drums). The growls are deep, deeper than I usually like, but they’re a perfect fit for the music here—I wouldn’t see a different style working quite as well. It’s dark, it feels like the weight of the world going through your ears, and sometimes that’s just what you need.”
The Viking in the Wilderness:
“Multinational band Traumatomy are out with the EP ‘Triumph of Enslavement’, and metal is the style explored on this production. It is a fairly brutal and primal variety of extreme metal we get in this case, with low mixed, dark toned guttural vocals as a defining feature. The guitars alternate between being slow, sluggish but vibrant and more uptempo and frantic, while the drummer is busy providing hits and rhythms all the way. Sometimes with more intricate and flowing patterns, on other occasions with more primitive sounding hit cascades. It is the flow and momentum the offset between the guitar riffs and the drum patterns creates tension throughout, as well as the alternating technical and primitive sounding displays that are delivered. A production to seek out by those fond of extreme metal explored in a more brutal manner.”
The new EP sounds faster, more brutal and more raw.
Lyrically it is the same as others.
Traumatomy:
“We are very happy that the new EP ‘Triumph Of Enslavement’ has been released, we have been working on it for 2 years. We believe that this EP will be loved by fans for a long time. Mychal Soto from PeelingFlesh brought a special sound to this album. The sound is raw but at the same time sharp and brutal. The album cover by Jon Zig captured our vision and atmosphere. SLAM IS THE ONLY WAY”
‘Ingress To Horridness’:
“Its just intro, nothing special. Our intros are different from other bands, because we actually play tracks instead of just using samples."
'Triumph Of Enslavement':
"It
s main track of this EP. The track represents the entire EP, as the lyrics and title are related to the album cover.”
‘Consumed Into Nothing’:
“This is the fastest track on the album. It has the most blast beats.”
‘Womb Of The Desecrated’:
“Its our drummer
s favourite track. The most balanced track.”
‘Acknowledge The Inevitable End’:
“It has the perfect structure for the end of the album.”
Traumatomy was formed in 2012 by Constantine Chevardin (Disfigurement Of Flesh) and Haruka Kamiyama (ex-Gorevent/Medic Vomiting Pus).
Initially, the band was planned as an online-project without live shows.
In 2013, the debut full-length album ‘Transcendental Evisceration of Necrogenetic Beasts’ and was well received in the global brutal underground community.
Second full-length albums and three EP were released between 2012 and 2018.
Since our bassist and drummer joined us in 2018, the band began touring activity.
