Rising from the underground of Athens, Toxic Pub have been carving out their own lane in the modern metal scene since their formation in 2020.
Operating as a lean and aggressive trio, the band draws heavily from the golden age of thrash metal, while injecting the muscle and weight of death and groove metal into the mix.
The result is a sound that balances speed and precision with crushing groove – channeling the spirit of bands like Megadeth, Pantera, Death, and Sepultura, without slipping into mere imitation.
From the start, Toxic Pub have been a band built for the stage.
Constantly honing their craft through live performances across Greece, they quickly earned a reputation for tight execution and raw intensity.
That upward trajectory culminated in 2023 when the trio stepped into the spotlight as headliners at the Schoolwave Festival, a key moment that introduced them to a wider audience and confirmed their status as one of the country’s most promising heavy acts.
In May 2024, Toxic Pub took the next decisive step with the release of their debut album, ‘To Not Die Blind‘.
The record captures the band’s ethos in full:
sharp riffs, relentless rhythms, and a modern sense of dynamics that keeps the songs driving forward.
The album was accompanied by their first official music video for the track ‘Panic Attack‘, a fitting introduction to their intense, no-frills approach and thematic focus on inner pressure and confrontation.
What truly sets Toxic Pub apart, however, is their refusal to follow metal clichés – especially when it comes to production.
Armed with solid backgrounds in sound engineering, the band handled the entire production and mixing process themselves.
Over the course of twelve months, they shaped the album with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every riff and drum hit translated with maximum impact.
The result is a debut that sounds both raw and refined, proving that Toxic Pub are not only fierce musicians, but also craftsmen fully in control of their sonic identity.
