The Wizard
‘The Departure’

Once upon a time, in a forest bathed in moonlight, there lived a little owl who had spent many years by the side of an old and wise wizard.
Under his gentle guidance, she had learned the secrets of the stars, the language of the wind, and the whisper of the trees.
But one quiet night, when the moon shone silver and full, the little owl felt a stirring in her heart – a call from beyond the forest.
She knew the time had come to spread her wings and discover the world on her own.
The old wizard, standing by the fire with eyes as deep as time itself, looked up at his small companion.
With a soft smile, he said,
“Beware, my little owl.
The world beyond our forest is vast and full of wonders – yet also of shadows. Humans can be cruel, and life can test even the purest heart. You will meet pain, darkness, madness, and loneliness.
But you will also find glimmers of light – hope that flickers like a candle in the storm.
The great leaders of the West will quarrel with the mighty of the East, each claiming to fight in the name of God.
But remember this truth, little one: their wars are not godly. For God does not wish His children to perish in His name. He wishes them to believe in goodness – in compassion, in kindness, in the quiet magic of the heart.
So fly, my little bird. Wherever you find a soul who has lost their light, stay beside them. Share your wisdom, and help their heart remember how to shine.”
The little owl bowed her head to the old man, her eyes gleaming with gratitude.
Then, with a rustle of feathers, she turned toward the open sky.
She spread her wings, caught the breath of the night, and rose higher and higher until she became just a speck among the stars – carrying with her the wizard’s wisdom, and a promise to bring light wherever darkness dared to dwell.
And from that night on, whenever a lonely traveler heard the soft hoot of an owl beneath the moon, they said it was the little owl – still keeping her promise, still guarding the hearts that needed her most…
