Schizophrenic, avant-garde Black Metal project leaded by A.S.A, versatile musician member of Alkhemia, Azziard, ex-The Negation…, with Kevin Paradis (Benighted) on drums for the first album ‘Ten‘, then joined by talented and experimented musicians from Alkhemia, Nydvind, Azziard, Cave Growl….
Paths to Deliverance is a sonic and conceptual exploration deeply rooted in themes of horror and mysticism, inspired by the works of Carl Jung, masters of horror, and the Tibetan Bardo concept.
Without setting any musical barriers, Paths to Deliverance offers a very personal version of Black Metal, with varied influences ranging from Der Weg einer Freiheit, Deathspell Omega, Harakiri for the Sky, Marduk, MGLA…, while venturing off the usual paths of the genre.
A musical experience that will appeal to those looking to push conventions, offering a unique and multifaceted interpretation of Black Metal.
‘Ten‘ takes the listener through different phases of consciousness and liberation, alternating between violence, melancholy, horror, and melodic aspects.
It is a frightening journey through the recesses of the human unconscious, an immersion into humanity’s most primal and profound fears.
The protagonist is plunged into a labyrinthine world of terror, inspired by the horrific works of great masters like Edgar Allan Poe, Lovecraft, Clive Barker, Graham Masterton, and Stephen King, as well as the symbolic intensity of Dante.
Through this adventure of transformation and liberation, ‘Ten‘ highlights the confrontation of our deepest fears.
It is a painful quest, an exploration of truth, and a journey towards the liberation of suffering.
The album alternates between palpable horror and the illusions generated by the protagonist’s mind, all carried by intensely powerful Black Metal music, beyond the traditional boundaries of the genre.
Each song is aligned with a specific phase of the Bardo journey, reflecting the protagonist’s spiritual and psychological transitions through the various stages.
