Anglo-Swedish garage rock duo Cherokee Death Cats are back with a new single…
“‘Girl or Boy’ is a high energy favourite from our live shows which we’ve finally managed to capture in the studio. We wanted to create an anthem for people outside of society’s norms. To celebrate individuality, expression and freedom of choice.”
Cherokee Death Cats mix garage, rock and dirty pop with live and electronic beats.
The Anglo/Swedish duo of Bea Persson and Rat Westlake are based in Gothenburg, Sweden where the project grew out of a flurry of dynamic studio sessions and performances at underground clubs.
CDC released their debut EP ‘No No No‘ in April 2019, and signed with US publishers and media company Position Music shortly after.
A 2nd EP: ‘Sick‘ and the single ‘Work it out‘ have also been hitting the airwaves since then.
“The song ‘No No No’ was featured on series 2 of Amazon Prime’s acclaimed show HANNA and our music has appeared on many Youtube channels, the TV series ‘Mlle Holmes’ in France and the USA and even on the trailer for legendary skater Tony Hawks’ masterclass video series.”
Cherokee Death Cats’s ‘Girl or Boy‘ is a powerful garage-rocker with influences from The White Stripes, The Hives, Peaches and The Kills.
