Tomy Laisto is a guitarist known from Finnish bands as Insomnium, Pain Confessor, Mors Principium Est, Omnium Gatherum and Arc Spectra.
His debut solo album ‘Penumbra‘ shall be released on October 4th via Inverse Records.
The album features many well known artists such as Derek Sherinian (Ex-Dream Theater), Christopher Amott (Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquillity) and Rainer Nygård (Diablo).
Although musically the album is something totally different than metal music.
‘Penumbra‘ is an ambitious package of atmospheric acoustic songs.
A hint of jazz and blues twist blended with melancholic singer-songwriter material.
