SAVAGE NEW SINGLE & VIDEO ON THE WAY FROM FORTHCOMING EP!
UK bruisers, STRUCK/DOWN, are on a rampage and are armed with their thunderous new single, ‘Nephilim’, out Friday 30th June.
The popular groove metallers will also deliver their much-anticipated new EP, ‘To Witches’, on Friday 7th July.
By taking from the thrusting attack of Machine Head and Lamb Of God, through to the vigor and groove of Black Sabbath and Black Label Society, STRUCK/DOWN have crafted sound is soaked with fury, passion potency.
Hitting your senses from Canterbury, England, STRUCK/DOWN were born in 2014 as a hard rock band.
However, after prolonged progression, the hardworking riff beasts evolved their sound and introduced stout riffage, hammering rhythms, and layered vocals.
By 2019, the band had their debut album, Gone, in place, and a sure line-up featuring Andy Dixon (bass), Will Mason (lead guitar), Linden Twyman (vocals), Tommy Rogers (drums) and Ian Spurrett (rhythm guitar).
Although live shows were limited due to the recent pandemic, the record captured the imagination of the underground, and aided by a run of strong selective live performances, word soon began to spread about the ascending heavyweights.
The release of STRUCK/DOWN’s follow up in 2021, ‘From Demons’, further reinforced the fivesome’s growing reputation.
The release cycle included four themed music videos that were conceived, filmed, directed and edited all in house.
This darker sound was debuted at 2021’s Metal 2 the Masses, and resulted in the acclaimed metal crew winning the competition and securing a slot on the New Blood stage at Bloodstock Festival.
As the year progressed, STUCK/DOWN brought the house down at Bloodstock in the summer.
The crew also rounded out a successful 2021 by racking up airplay for their single, ‘Wandering Child’, on Kerrang! Radio.
In 2022, line-up changes saw bassist Andy Dixon being replaced by Will Mihr, and lead guitarist Will Mason departing with Pete McLarney taking up the role of lead guitarist.
The revitalized five-piece then hit the recording studio to start work on their brand-new EP, ‘To Witches’, and the result is stunningly superb.
Loaded with their towering EP, the Brit slayers are set to step up.
The record comes over you with stout groove, sprawling songwriting, powerful riffs, and gritty metalcore that bang your head into submission.
Look out this year for more fiery and energetic performances, and festival appearances by these talented metallers.
