With their sophomore album ‘Circulate’ to be released on the 29th of september, the band is bringing in more building blocks to their musical repertuare.
Showcasing their music through cosmic abyssal depths, isolation and despair, the dual-vocalist powered group is keen to make their mark with the new record.
Produced, recorded and mixed by Teemu Aalto (Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum) and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Paradise Lost, Mayhem) ‘Circulate’ is dark, heavy and moody, and it truly showcases OMNIVORTEX’ own, unique sound.
Formed in 2019, the band released their nationally and internationally critically acclaimed debut album ‘Diagrams Of Consicousness’ in late 2020, and toured Finland extensively during the ‘Diagrams’ album-cycle.
The band that won Wacken Metal Battle Finland 2023 is known for their fierce live-energy, OMNIVORTEX gives no mercy, and will give no mercy in the future.

‘Of Aeons Past’

The finnish tech-death masters, Omnivortex, have released the second single, from their upcoming sophomore album entitled ‘Circulate’.
The new single, entitled ‘Of Aeons Past’ has been inspired by the horror stories of HP Lovecraft.
Vocalist/guitarist Severi Saarioja, who is responsible for the music and lyrics:
“As on our debut album, there are some references to HP Lovecraft, and his cosmic horror stories and Cthulhu-mythos. As for ‘Of Aeons Past’ there are no direct references, but the stories of his has been a big inspiration lyric-wise. You can sense some of the horrors in the music video, but done kinda in a tongue-in-cheek manner. Musically, the song is all about fast paced spider riffs, slap bass, endless blasting, and terrifying monster voices. As it should be.”

Omnivortex, a Helsinki-based Finnish technical death metal band, has released their first single from their upcoming sophomore album titled ‘Circulate’.
The single entitled ‘Dwells’ is the opening track of the album.
“Dwells is the first song that was written for the album. We also wanted to separate this album from the debut by starting off with full throttle, no questions asked- styled mentality, so it was obvious for ‘Dwells’ to be the opener for the new record. ‘Circulate’ as an album is a whole lot darker, ruthless, and overall heavier than the debut”
stated by Severi Saarioja, the band’s vocalist/guitarist.
The new release is the first one with the band’s shrunken lineup from a quintet to a quartet.
The album features vocals not only from guitarist Saarioja but also from Aaro Österman, who also operates on the drumming helm.
Mikko Pylkkö, guitarist familiar from the debut album, now also has shared solo spots with Saarioja, and Mikael Reinikka has cemented his place as the band’s bass player.
The production, recording, and mixing of the album were handled by Teemu Aalto, as with the debut album (known for his work with Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum).
The mastering was done by Jaime Gomez Arellano, known for his collaborations with Ghost and Mayhem.
‘Circulate’ is set to be released on the 29th of September.
