Texan Pop Punk artist ALXNDR will release much anticipated debut EP ‘Degenerate’.
Following on from previous singles ‘FBA (Did You Dirty)’ and ‘Forget Me’ Texas based pop-punk artist ALXNDR is set to release his debut EP ‘Degenerate’ later on this month.
The EP showcases the young artist’s exceptional talent for lyricism and touches on such sensitive subjects as parental abuse, failed relationships, anxiety, sexualisation and being an outcast.
The collection of 5 tracks is a hard hitting snapshot into ALXNDR’s journey so far and perfectly matches catchy melodies and those hard hitting highly personal stories that have made him a favourite on stations such as ERB Radio, Total Rock and Amazing Radio.
Award Winning station The Sound Lab chose ‘FBA (Did You Dirty) as their ‘Track of the Week’.
Focus track for radio is ‘Anx!ety’ which showcases a more mellow side to ALXNDRs sound.
Highlighting his ability to cross genres and ends with a striking guitar solo that wouldn’t be out of place on a heavy rock release.
Lyrically the track may be written to portray this is about someone else, but this track is a very personal account of ALXNDRs own experience with Anxiety.
“Back in 2020, I experienced anxiety for the first time ever. It was a traumatic experience for me, one that reminded me that I am human, I am fragile, & life shouldn’t be taken for granted. It actually is talking about the battle I have in my own mind. The anxiety of just existing, the anxiety of chasing dreams that may never come true, the anxiety of feeling like I was made for more but knowing I am just a speck on a speck in a speck in the universe. So here I present my song ‘Anxiety’ to hopefully help someone who struggles with it all, know that even someone who hasn’t dealt with it as long as most, completely understands and sympathises.”
The EP was produced by Andy K (Magnolia Park/408) & HXXLIGAN and features Joe Horsham (Magnolia Park) on drums.
