The progressive metal band FACTORY OF ART is back in business with the brilliant comeback album ‘BACK TO LIFE‘.
Since its release in June, the new work, which is currently available on vinyl and CD, has received great reviews from fans, the press, and radio stations all over the world.
Now the next step is being taken and FACTORY OF ART has made the new album available for worldwide streaming on all platforms from October 20, 2024 in order to clearly increase the reach of ‘BACK TO LIFE’.
On October 13th, 2024 FACTORY OF ART has celebrated the video premiere of ‘Walking To The Place I Love‘.

Thoralf Schulze: “After a long break up, we´re now working on our comeback with our new album ‘Back To Life'”
They are timeless, artfully arranged, aggressive and heavier at the same time, with the guitar playing a clear role in the music scene and their voices blend harmoniously with their songs and their music highlighting their talent, color and genre of music.
Since 1990, they caress our ears with progressive music and initiate us with their music and songs as only they know. 
Their name is unique as they are and yes the title of their band describes them worthily, they are ‘The Factory Of Art’.
They have given their sparkle and their live concerts it’s totally an obsession.
They have cooperated with great bands such as Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Grave Digger, Skyclad, Sodom and many others, in Germany, Europe and beyond.
Lets get to know them, so Gunter Lange keyboard-vocals, Ronald Ron Losch bass, Jens Petri ‘Schmikale’ vocals, Ralph Marchel Dietrich drums, Thoralf Schulze guitars.
They have been nominated for the 41st Rock& Pop prize 2023 in the German Hard Rock Prize category (best hard rock band).
Αfter a year and a half, Factory Of Art, has finished their new album, that its called ‘Back To Life’. 
Thoralf Schulze talked to Radio Highway Pirates and gave us answers to everything we wanted to know about the unique Factory Of Art.
Who are the talented artists behind Factory Of Art and what is the music that they represent?
“We are 5 musicians from Leipzig in Germany: Petri (lead vocals), Gunter (key, vocals), Thoralf (guitar), Ron (bass), Ralle (drums). We´re playing Progressive Metal with several influences.”
Would you describe yourself as a ‘Never dying Hero’ of the music industry and if so why?
“Yep, it seems so; after a long break we´re now working on our comeback with our new album ‘Back To Life’. The right title for our first studio output since 2002… Our experiences in our early years were partly good, partly disappointing. Now we release the new album on our own label ‘Factory Music’ to avoid the complications of former times…”
Would you like to comment on the following lyrics of ‘Silent Crying’? ‘She stands alone, she’s asking her dreams, to keep the faith.. she once had.…’
“These lyrics are taken from one of our older tracks, ‘Silent crying’; It is a sad story about abuse and violence against children. Our keyboarder Gunter wrote the lyrics under the influence of so many bad news about these things.”
What do you think what was kept you together and made you last over time?
“We think, that our friendship, our common musical sense and the love to the music we make kept us together. Now we are very proud to present our new material on CD/Vinyl and live on stage. This keeps us alive!”
Would you like to share with us the greatest musical stage emotion that you have experienced in your artistic career?
“In the early years we had great experiences on stage with Destruction, Rammstein, Yngwie J. Malmsteen and the very young guys of Nevermore…Nowadays we try to make every single show as unique as possible…”
What do you have to say about being nominated for the 41st German rock and pop prize 20023 in the German hard rock prize category?
“Well, nice to have, but…”
Talk to us about your new album ‘Back To Life’ what it signifies and what to expect from it…
“You can expect a varied and entertaining album with so many musical ideas! We invited top-class guest musicians in a few tracks and Jacob Hansen gave us the best sound for our new tracks! You will enjoy Factory Of Art at it´s best!!”
Have you ever though to participate in Eurovision and what is your opinion about this institution?
“No, it´s a great thing for many other musicians/bands, but not for us..”
What are the next plans and stations of Factory of Art?
“First of all we promote the new material in the next months,we will play several shows in Germany and sure, we have the first ideas for the next big thing = new songs for a new album in 2025/26….”

Next to them on stage will be Amarcord, who will perform two songs from the new album.
On June 7th, 2024 Factory Of Art will go to Berlin for the METAL GODs V OPEN AIR 2024.

The Leipzig prog metallers FACTORY OF ART have unpacked a surprise for their fans:
The EP ‘Story of Pain’ from 1999 will be available on all streaming portals on February 10, 2024.
A brilliant journey back in time!
The EP contains three songs that reflect the band’s typical style:
hard riffs, melodic solos and powerful vocals.
Every song on this EP tells a profound story of pain, loss and hope.
As a promotional EP, intended for labels in a very limited edition, it reached ROCK HARD magazine.
With the song ‘Story of Pain’ FACTORY OF ART won the ‘Unerhört 5’ campaign, which put them on the CD of the same name and led to a small tour with Destruction.
The 3 songs from the EP were re-recorded for the following album ‘The Tempter’, so the EP contains different recordings.
This makes this EP not only a musical piece of band and music history, but also a collector’s item.
The band will inform about the new release on their social media channels and would like to thank all fans for their loyalty.

Factory of Art is one of 3 bands nominated for the 41st German Rock & Pop Prize 2023 in the German Hard Rock Prize category (best hard rock band).
The German Rock & Pop Musicians’ Association (DRMV) announced this in a letter to the band on November 6, 2023.
Already in 1993, Factory of Art represented the 11th Federal Rock Festival Deutscher Rockpreis’93 in Bielefeld and took 6th place.
Petri (singer of the band) says:
“We are very proud that we have been able to do this again after so many years.”
The German Rock & Pop Prize is a renowned award that has been presented annually since 1983 by the German Rock & Pop Musicians’ Association (DRMV) and is aimed at musicians from the field of rock and pop music.
The award is considered the most prestigious prize for promoting young German rock and pop artists.
Which ranking Factory of Art achieves will be announced on December 16, 2023 at the official awards gala in the Siegerland Hall in Siegen and band is already excited to see who will win.
