‘Standing In The Rain’

Spendo live in concert 2026:
Canadian classic rock outfit Spendo return with their new single ‘Standing In The Rain‘, a track that showcases the band at their most introspective yet.
Rooted firmly in classic rock tradition, the song expands Spendo’s sound with atmospheric depth and emotional nuance, marking a clear step forward in their artistic development.
‘Standing In The Rain‘ balances reflective themes with warm, carefully layered production.
Produced by Danny Craig and mastered by Andrew Downton, the single carries a sense of melancholy without drifting into gloom.
Thoughtful lyrics meet melodic clarity, while layered instrumentation adds subtle texture and space.
There are hints of pop sensibility woven into the arrangement, but never at the expense of the band’s indie and classic rock identity.
Rather than relying on sheer volume or overstatement, Spendo allow the song to breathe.
The track unfolds organically, guided by feel and restraint – a quality often associated with classic rock songwriting at its most effective.
Emotionally, ‘Standing In The Rain‘ explores vulnerability and resilience, capturing the moment of standing still while everything around you feels uncertain.
The visual presentation complements the music perfectly.
Artwork by Erik Reimers reinforces the song’s emotional core, reflecting the tension between fragility and strength that runs throughout the track.
For a band still establishing their position on the wider rock scene, ‘Standing In The Rain‘ feels like an important milestone.
It follows a string of previous releases that laid the groundwork for Spendo’s sound, but this new single stands out as a defining statement – intimate, evocative, and purposefully crafted.
With ‘Standing In The Rain‘, Spendo prove that classic rock is not about nostalgia alone.
In their hands, it becomes a modern, emotionally grounded form of expression – honest, melodic, and quietly powerful.

‘Still Here’

Spendo, hailing from Vancouver, Canada, released their single ‘Still Here‘ earlier in 2025.
It marks the second single from their forthcoming third album, following ‘This Feeling‘, which dropped in June 2024.
‘Still Here‘ carries a laid-back Southern rock feel with a touch of California flair, reminiscent of Robert Jon & The Wreck or their fellow Canadian rockers The Commoners.

Based out of Vancouver BC, Spendo is made up of five like-hearted, experienced multi-instrumentalists.
Sharing a love for modern & classic rock, they exude a 1970’s California vibe, drawing inspiration from and paying respect to the music of that timeless era.
After releasing ‘Waiting For Years‘ in May 2018, Spendo spent the next two years headlining hometown shows, playing festival dates in Toronto, ON, and touring the interior of BC.
After introducing a new lineup in March 2020, they found themselves in a state of involuntary hibernation (along with the rest of the world).
Clearing a busy schedule of shows from their calendar, they instead devoted their time and energy into writing new material and recording with Canadian producer Danny Craig (Default, One Bad Son).
This culminated in their seven-track EP ‘The Great Unknown’, which they released to positive reception in March 2023.
Giving SPENDO the opportunity to sell out headline shows and play festival main stages, rubbing elbows with the likes of Finger Eleven, Big Wreck, Collective Soul, Prism, and 54-40, among others.
Crowned ‘Best In Vancouver 2021‘ by Live Acts Canada, SPENDO is turning heads with their big hooks, catchy melodies and relentless work ethic.
Each member brings a unique, feel-good vibe that takes you back to a familiar and timeless era.
Their strength is live performances, as this five-piece powerhouse consistently delivers a tight, engaging and hard-hitting performance that leaves their audiences wanting more.
The band’s powerful live performance has led them to many sold out hometown shows.
In 2022, Spendo ventured into ‘The Great Unknown‘, turning heads with their well-received single ‘Fighter’, followed by their second single ‘Easy to Lie‘, both of which were recorded with legendary Canadian producer Danny Craig (Default, One Bad Son) who also produced their second EP ‘The Great Unknown‘ released March 11th 2023.
Now Spendo have released another single ‘This Feeling’ along with a music video.
These five fine gentlemen have been itching to show the world what they’re capable of and their long and fruitful journey is only just beginning.
