“Pure energy and rootsy-blues sass”
Hailing from small town Fergus, Ontario, Madison Galloway has been making waves in the Canadian music scene.
She charms audiences with her refreshing original tunes, while delivering her bluesy roots-rock sound, hallmarked by her soulful voice and guitar prowess, and bolstered by her dynamic and talented band.
She’s brought her high-energy, charismatic performance to hundreds of stages, including prominent festivals like Kitchener Blues Festival and Riverfest Elora, and sharing the spotlight with acclaimed artists.
Kicking off her musical journey with the release of her debut EP in 2015, Madison continued to impress with her full-length album ‘Moon & Mercury‘ (2019), earning accolades as a Blues & Roots Radio International Song Contest finalist.
In August 2022, she unveiled a new single (‘Open Your Eyes‘) in anticipation of her upcoming album, which swiftly became her most popular track yet, surpassing 100K streams on Spotify alone.
The song found its place on significant playlists such as Spotify’s ‘Modern Blues Rock‘ and Joe Bonamassa’s ‘Cutting Edge Blues‘.
Madison’s achievements culminated in a noteworthy triumph as she was honoured with the title of ‘Southern Rock Artist of the Year‘ at the prestigious Josie Music Awards (Nashville, TN) in 2023.
In June 2024 Madison released her highly anticipated sophomore album, captivating audiences with her continued innovation and unmistakable sound.
The album featured 11 tracks, including 10 original songs and a standout cover of Jefferson Airplane’s ‘White Rabbit‘, this album showcased an array of musical styles, from driven southern-rock tunes to ballads reminiscent of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Rain Song‘, and psychedelic songs that promise to take listeners on a captivating sonic journey.
Described as ‘pure energy and rootsy-blues sass‘ by MusicOntario, Madison Galloway has been making waves in the Canadian music scene and abroad.
Her signature sound is hallmarked by her soulful vocals, guitar prowess, and high-energy performances.
Madison’s new album is a collaborative masterpiece, featuring contributions from a stellar lineup of musicians including Nik Hirst on keyboards, Ben Healey on electric guitar, Jeremy Kleynhans on drums, and Stacey Shopsowitz on bass, who also co-produced the record with Madison (with the exception of two tracks).
The album also features 2x JUNO Award nominated producer, mixer, and engineer, Ross Hayes Citrullo, who produced, engineered, and mixed ‘Open Your Eyes‘ and ‘The River‘, as well as played guitar on these two songs.
Additionally, Ross mixed the entire album.
Already, the album has received significant recognition, with the track ‘Love Like Yours‘ nominated for ‘Song of the Year – Southern Rock/Country Rock‘ and ‘Video of the Year – Female‘ at the 10th Annual Josie Music Awards.
Additionally, Madison has been nominated for ‘Entertainer of the Year – Female‘ and ‘Artist of the Year – Southern Rock/Country Rock’ for the second consecutive year.
Madison expresses her heartfelt gratitude for the support received from the Ontario Arts Council and the Government of Ontario, as well as the overwhelming generosity of her fans, friends, and family who supported her crowdfunding campaign.
She also extends thanks to the incredible team of people who contributed to the album’s creation.
Shortly after the release Madison Galloway announced UK tour with The Commoners.
This tour promises to bring Madison’s electrifying performances to a new audience, and she is thrilled to share the stage with Ross Hayes Citrullo, The Commoners’ lead guitarist, who also mixed her album.
