rock band GHOST TOAST released
a first single from the upcoming
fifth studio album
Hungarian experimental progressive rock band Ghost Toast is set to release their fifth studio album 'Shade Without Color' on March 3rd 2022 via Inverse Records.
The first single “Get Rid of” is released
The band comments: “Get Rid Of is some kind of a battle cry – who the enemy is, is up to you! We wanted this song to be a fast and heavy opener with a sad vibe that turns into a desire for freedom."
'Shade Without Color' is the follow-up for our 2020 album
'Shape Without Form'.
The majority of the songs were written at the same time, and they intented it to be a sort of a „double-album”, in which the two would
come out at different times.
Both titles come from T.S. Eliot‘s poem 'The Hollow Men' and both albums mostly deal with the subject of emptiness, the process of becoming empty – only to an extent which suits an instrumental material, of course.
The basis of thought behind the album is not the actual state of emptiness, it’s rather the things leading up to it – like personal fate, tragedy and weakness; the subject of authority; technology becoming impersonal; politics, alienated people; the feeling of being threatened.
This emptiness uniformizes, dissolves the individual, leaves humankind disenchanted and hopeless.
They look at both records as an illustration of this theme, this is mostly why they use (again) quotes from movies, interviews, speeches or poems.
Their own thoughts and feelings are encapsulated within these and of course, within the music surrounding it.
They also attempted though to resolve this mostly dark subject, as they do not believe that mankind’s fate generally would be hopeless and that there would be no way out.
...to continue, please go to the next side...

rock band GHOST TOAST released
a first single from the upcoming
fifth studio album
Darker parts lead to moments filled with more hope, while in the melodies and themes intented to be more beautiful and soft have a recurring dissonance, indicating this constant battle.
It because of this fact that they would omit writing in too much detail about every song, they believe a matching or an actually used quote should be enough to set the mood and give some ground to the concept behind the song.
“People become attached to their burdens sometimes more than the burdens are attached to them.”-George Bernard Shaw

Danish alternative metal quintet NORÐ is set to release their debut album 'Machine Blood' on March 4th 2022 via Inverse Records.
The album is mixed and mastered by the magnificent Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios, Denmark (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Primal Fear, etc).
The first single 'Fear Reigns' is released.
The band comments:“'Fear Reigns' is a track that means a lot to us. First of all it’s a killer riff and the verse has harmonic vibrations that would remind you of the Twin Peaks theme. The chorus begins with another bad ass groovy riff followed by a more atmospheric part that will speak to anyone who ever liked Deftones. The bridge is an epic melodic part with tight riffin’ and melancholic soundscapes. The song has been with us for a long time and it still feels fucking awesome to play every time. The crowd also always has a good response to this track. The lyrics talk about the cracks in the foundation of societies around the world. The ideal of a democracy based on trust is increasingly threatened by more simple means to power such as fear and repression. As the globalization have brought us closer together it has also drawn new battle lines between ideologies. Societies based on ancient traditions and belief collide with capitalistic societies based on the free will of the individual. Cohesiveness is threatened and protectionism becomes stronger. So some really uplifting themes in that song 🙂 But seriously, we love this song and hope everyone will enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoy playing it.”

Helsinki based OvDeth’s second single from the upcoming 'Mortal Burden' EP is Dark and Melancholic Death Metal.
The song mingles on the frontiers of epicness and craving, where loneliness and megalomania coexist.
'Saturn Devoured', along with the previously released single 'Perished', crack open some doors to the upcoming EP release, still leaving some corridors unvisited.
'Mortal Burden' will be released on the 4th of February.

Founded in 2018.
The band started to take its own form when all four of its members started to combine unique ingredients of their beloved art of music.

The track is taken from their upcoming third studio album 'Decade of Silence' which is set to be released on May 6th 2022 via Inverse Records.
vocalist Otto Salonen comment:
“This song is the opening track of our upcoming album. I composed the song 12 years ago, right after our “..For Death” 2009 album. We recorded a demo of this song back in 2011, and after that the band went silent.I’m really happy that we recorded it for our new album, and hope you all like it as much as we do! It represents the more death metal side of our album.”

First album “Ghosts Of Devotion” was released in 2007, and received really good reviews throughout the media.
