Last artists confirmed for God Unknown Records 10th Anniversary Show…
God Unknown Records is an independent record label dedicated to cutting-edge music from around the world.
At the forefront of the underground music scene, where they have been supporting innovation and inspiring audiences now for ten years.
Renowned for its commitment to releasing vinyl records, the label has fostered a community of artists and bands who dare to explore and push the boundaries of musical creativity.
Over the past ten years, God Unknown Records has not only released a plethora of influential records but has also significantly contributed to the vitality and diversity of the underground music scene.
God Unknown Records was formed in 2014 by Jason Stoll (Sex Swing, Mugstar, JAAW, Playhouse, Bonnacons of Doom, Klamp), and started life as a Singles Club label, releasing split 7”s.
Stoll had the idea to produce a Sub Pop influenced singles club with the bands he had met whilst touring and everyone he asked was eager to take part.
With striking sleeve design from artist Sam Wiehl, the first volume had 10 split 7” singles with 2 artists on each record.
These ranged from Japanese psychedelic travellers, Acid Mothers Temple and the Cosmic Inferno & Kikagako Mayo, to New York based psychedelic kraut pioneers Oneida & White Hills;
to UK underground luminaries, GNOD & Teeth of the Sea and to overriders of the last 25 years Bardo Pond & Clinic.
It was a defining statement to be sure and perfectly captured the underground musical landscape in 2014.
On the back of this successful start, God Unknown Records developed into a full label the following year and started to release albums, alongside the singles club.
Fast forward to 2024 God Unknown Records has consistently released an impressive wide range of intoxicating music, with over 111 releases to look back on now.
Everything starts with an idea, and this one lead to a musical journey with so many fantastic and inspiring musicians.
God Unknown Records has released music from Low, Monster Magnet, Mark Lanegan, Charles Hayward, Goat, Xylouris White, Duke Garwood, Dez Dare, Drift, Laura Loriga, The Jonny Halifax Invocation and a whole lot more & continues to grow and develop with new artists coming regularly.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary, God Unknown Records are to host a special event on Saturday 5th October 2024 at Walthamstow Trades Club, London, E17.
Joining on the night will be a load of great GU artists as well as visuals from Liverpool Psych Fest & Ladytron collaborator, Sam Wiehl;
DJ’s playing the best sounds around and exclusive merchandise and with the event spread over two floors and two stages, it’s going to be one hell of a party.
SEX SWING:
“The release show for the new album ‘Golden Triangle’, with guest vocals on the night. Sex Swing are also celebrating 10 years, so we have a double/triple celebration going on this night.”
Duke Garwood:
