Harrow-born singer-songwriter Daniel Leigh steps into a defining new chapter with the release of his long-awaited solo album ‘Homeland‘ – a bold, heartfelt collection shaped by unwavering dedication, artistic independence, and years of creative evolution.
Unveiled last month to a sold-out crowd in Camden, where Daniel shared the stage with Geomagnetist, the album marks one of the most significant milestones in his career.
‘Homeland‘ captures Daniel not just as a vocalist, but as a storyteller, architect, and producer of his own vision.
Though many know him as the unmistakable frontman of New Device, Jordan Red, and Days in December, Daniel’s reputation reaches far beyond any single project.
His soaring voice, magnetic stage presence, and rare ability to forge meaningful connections with audiences have earned him a lasting place in the UK rock landscape.
His résumé includes performances at iconic venues and festivals – among them Download, Sonisphere (which New Device famously opened), and a career-defining moment opening for Bon Jovi at London’s O2 Arena, a slot he was personally invited to fill.
With ‘Homeland‘, Daniel takes complete ownership of his craft.
Writing, recording, producing, and even shaping the album’s visual identity, he poured himself into every frame of the project – an effort he calls one of the greatest undertakings of his career.
Daniel Leigh:
“I’ve been working so hard on this record and I’m so, so happy that it will finally be heard. I had a hand in every single stage of this project, and it’s been one of the biggest—if not the biggest—undertakings of my career. I can say with my hand on my heart that I’m proud of every single part of this project.”
The album’s lead single, ‘Believe In Me‘, serves as its emotional anchor – an uplifting, deeply human anthem inspired by the unconditional support we offer the people we love.
Though rooted in personal experience, the song stretches far beyond romantic devotion.
It’s a tribute to the strength we lend to partners, friends, or family when the world feels darkest.
Daniel describes the message as
“loving someone so much that you’d be there no matter what,”
a reminder that compassion and connection can cut through even life’s heaviest shadows.
Since the lockdowns of 2020, Daniel has cultivated a remarkably close global community through his regular livestreams on Facebook and Twitch.
More than 1.5 million viewers have tuned in to share in his music, conversations, and creativity – forming a dedicated fanbase that has witnessed ‘Homeland‘ grow from its first sparks to its finished form.
Their collective support has become inseparable from the album’s identity.
Driven by passion, purpose, and a long-standing commitment to using music as a force for good, Daniel continues to champion charitable causes and inspire fans around the world.
With ‘Homeland‘, he delivers not only his most personal album to date, but a work infused with resilience and sincerity – a record shaped by an artist who has truly found his voice, and by a community that never stopped believing in him.

supporting Macmillan Cancer Support

Renowned singer-songwriter Daniel Leigh, best known as the frontman of bands New Device, Jordan Red, and Days in December, has released a moving Christmas single, ‘Christmas Lights‘.
Inspired by a deeply touching story about love, resilience, and community, the song aims to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that provides vital assistance to those affected by cancer.
The inspiration for ‘Christmas Lights‘ comes from a tradition Daniel encountered as a child.
A house in his neighbourhood became a festive landmark, adorned with dazzling Christmas lights.
Local lore told of a woman who, after a challenging medical diagnosis, defied the odds to celebrate another Christmas.
Her husband marked the occasion by decorating their home in her honor.
The lights continued annually, symbolizing their love and resilience.
Years later, Daniel revisited the house and learned the real story from the family who maintains the tradition—a story no less heartwarming.
“The lights are a tribute to the late mother of the family, bringing joy to so many in her memory,”
Daniel explains.
“Even after someone stole the charity box they used to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, the family continued their tradition, spreading joy and hope to everyone who sees the display.”
Moved by this story, Daniel poured his emotions into ‘Christmas Lights‘, a song that captures the spirit of giving and the power of memory.
“The love and dedication behind these lights is an inspiration,”
he says.
“I wanted to create something that could honour this family’s story while supporting a charity that means so much to so many people.”
Daniel Leigh’s career has taken him to prestigious venues such as the O2 Arena and major festivals including Download and Sonisphere.
New Device were handpicked to open for Bon Jovi at the O2 Arena.
In recent years, Daniel has gained a devoted following through daily livestreams on social media, using his platform to connect with fans and support meaningful causes.
Every penny raised from ‘Christmas Lights‘ will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.
This charity provides essential support to individuals and families facing the challenges of cancer, offering everything from medical advice to emotional and financial help.
“These lights are more than decorations; they’re a symbol of love and resilience,”
Daniel says.
“This Christmas, I hope the song inspires people to come together and remember the importance of kindness and community.”
