CHUB
will release single
‘Carolina Reaper’
Fiery South punks CHUB can’t be stopped.
The rowdy quartet recently destroyed the new band stage at Bloodstock Festival, and now the party metal punkers are poised to drop their infectious new single and video, ‘Carolina Reaper‘, on Friday 25th October.
Born out of long-standing friendships aided by beer bongs and circle pits and accompanied by the soundtrack of a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game, CHUB were formed in 2019 in the quiet and tranquil English seaside town of Eastbourne, which in true CHUB style, is the perfect juxtaposition for the rebellious four-piece.
Featuring Ben (vocals), Kyle (drums), Greg (guitar and vocals), and Zakk (bass and vocals), CHUB had shifted, tweaked and solidified their blistering sound by 2023 to high and mighty standards.
The release of their debut album, ‘AL BUM‘, along with their first festival appearance at Rebellion threw down a marker for the band.
A series of sold out shows in Brighton soon followed which deeply cemented the band’s status and reputation within Brighton’s thriving music scene.
Their singles, ‘QUIT‘ and ‘Beer Bong Song‘, continued to increase CHUB’s growing profile, and so did their stunning set at this year’s Bloodstock Festival.
A recent successful jaunt throughout the south of England has seen the metal punks expand their base to new levels, and now with the release of their spiky new single, ‘Carolina Reaper‘, CHUB show no signs of stopping.
The band remark about the track:
“The Carolina Reaper is the world’s hottest chilli pepper. Our guitarist, Greg, is a casual pain enthusiast and has eaten one before, and we wanted to write a song which captured the intensity of that experience. The music video shows us suffering from eating a few of them!”
Armed with a hot new single, and with future singles, videos, and UK and overseas tours mapped out for 2025, CHUB are ready for a swift ascent.
