German heavy metal band Böllverk are ready to enter a bold new chapter with the release of their second full length album, ‘Other Worlds‘, arriving on November 20, 2026 via Metalapolis Records.
Building on the momentum of their acclaimed ‘Demons Call‘ EP, the band continues to refine its signature blend of classic German heavy metal, raw rock and roll spirit, memorable melodies, and powerful songwriting, delivering what is undoubtedly their most mature and emotionally compelling work to date.
Since forming in 2018, the band from the Aschaffenburg region has steadily earned a reputation for breathing new life into traditional heavy metal without losing sight of its roots.
Their early demo ‘Let’s Ride Till Dawn‘ and debut album ‘Heading For The Crown‘ established Böllverk as a promising force within the German metal scene, while an energetic live presence helped them build a loyal and steadily growing fan base.
The release of ‘Demons Call‘ in 2025 marked a turning point, introducing a refreshed lineup featuring founding members Zahn and Raphi alongside vocalist Bexxi, bassist Philipp, and drummer Marcel, a combination that brought renewed energy and a clear musical direction.
With ‘Other Worlds‘, the band expands both musically and emotionally.
While classic heavy metal remains the foundation, the album reaches far beyond genre conventions through soaring melodies, memorable hooks, dynamic arrangements, and deeply personal songwriting.
At its heart lies a collection of songs dealing with grief, loss, fear, anger, hope, and resilience.
Much of the lyrical content was written by drummer Marcel as a way of processing the loss of his father, giving the album an honesty and emotional depth that resonates throughout every track.
The songs themselves reflect different stages of the band’s creative journey.
The title track dates back to 2021 during the ‘Heading For The Crown‘ sessions, already hinting at the musical path the band would eventually follow.
‘Life Keeps Moving‘ has its origins in ideas first developed in 2019, while ‘Ghosts That Aren’t Mine‘ was completed shortly before the recording sessions began.
These different creative periods come together naturally, creating an album that feels both cohesive and remarkably diverse.
Once again, production duties were handled by Matze Schmitt at Unleash The Sound Studio, whose powerful yet organic production gives every instrument room to breathe while preserving the band’s raw energy.
The striking artwork was created by longtime collaborator Basti Kraus, further strengthening the visual identity Böllverk has established over the years.
Supporting the release, the band has planned a series of singles leading into the album.
‘In Chaos We Fall‘ arrived on July 31, followed by ‘Life Keeps Moving‘ on September 11 and ‘Midnight Sun‘ on October 23, each offering another glimpse into the emotional and musical scope of ‘Other Worlds‘ before the full album is unveiled on November 20, 2026.
With ‘Other Worlds‘, Böllverk demonstrate that classic heavy metal remains as vital as ever.
Rather than relying on nostalgia, the band combines tradition with contemporary songwriting, genuine emotion, and impressive musicianship, delivering an album that honors the past while confidently looking toward the future.
