Guitarist Andreas Vockrodt once again presents a musical ride through the history of rock music.
‘Adventures From Foggyland‘ was the name of the first solo album by the Stuttgart guitarist, composer, singer and guitar teacher Andreas Vockrodt, also known as the organizer of the Guitar world record.
With his cover band Partyblues, and as a guest with many bands, he plays around 50 – 100 concerts a year and is represented on countless albums.
His biggest success to date was the rock cover version of the techno hit ‘Blue‘ with the band Gallery in 2000, which set off a spectacular media career:
appearances on Top of the Pops, PopKomm, in football stadiums, as well as top rotation on all music channels and five weeks in the German single charts were the result.
In 2007, he organized the media spectacle Guitar World Record.
At this major event, conducted by Gotthilf Fischer, 1802 guitarists played ‘Smoke On The Water‘ in front of over 5000 spectators.
In addition to worldwide contributions in around 2000 TV programs, there was also a much-awaited entry in the Guinness Book of Records.
Andreas Vockrodt is currently the most successful tabber on Ultimate Guitar, the world’s largest platform for music notation, with over 27,000 contributions.
In 2020, his Ultimate Riff Challenge video series became a hit.
Nine years after the debut of his solo album, the sequel has been released:
Andreas Vockrodt – ‘More Adventures From Foggyland‘ once again on the 7hard/7us media group label.
This time, the adventures in Foggyland take us on a journey through the history of rock music with eleven new interpretations of song gems that have become cult songs away from the usual radio landscape by bands such as:
Rival Sons, Montrose, Allman Brothers, Black Sabbath, Lee Aaron, Michael Schenker, Blues Pills, Jeff Beck, Focus, Def Leppard & UFO.
