Penzance-based folk-punk outfit All For Jolly are turning urgency into action with their upcoming single ‘LIFEBLOOD‘, a release that speaks directly to one of the most pressing issues facing the UK music scene today:
the ongoing collapse of grassroots venues.
Due to arrive on all major streaming platforms on Saturday, January 17, 2026, the track is both a rallying cry and a deeply personal statement from a band whose very existence was shaped by the DIY circuit.
Formerly known as JollyRoger, All For Jolly have spent years cutting their teeth in small rooms, back rooms, and independent spaces across the country.
On ‘LIFEBLOOD‘, that history is brought sharply into focus.
Musically vibrant and emotionally charged, the song reflects the stark reality behind rising operating costs, venue closures, redevelopment pressures, and the financial strain placed on independent artists trying to stay afloat.
“This song is about survival – not just for us, but for the venues that keep live music alive,”
the band explain.
“Without grassroots spaces, bands like ours simply wouldn’t exist.”
It’s a sentiment that runs through every note of the track, framing grassroots venues not as optional extras, but as the foundation upon which entire scenes are built.
The release of ‘LIFEBLOOD‘ also sets the stage for what will be a significant moment in the band’s story.
In February 2026, All For Jolly will hit the road for a UK tour that deliberately takes in many of the very venues the song is fighting for.
The run will also mark the band’s final full-band tour for the foreseeable future, with escalating costs and the realities of remaining fully independent making long-term touring increasingly difficult.
Together, the single and the tour form a unified statement.
‘LIFEBLOOD‘ is not just a song, but part of a wider campaign – a reminder that the struggle to keep grassroots venues alive is inseparable from the struggle faced by the artists who depend on them.
As All For Jolly take this message back onto the stages that raised them, they encourage fans to do the same:
support local venues, turn up to shows, and keep the heart of live music beating.
