Volucrine are a Finnish alternative metal band
with an undisputed attitude and a style to match the erratic human mind.
The band makes their music with a therapeutic mindset
and aspire to resonate with just about anyone with its humane themes;
there are no dragons flying or swords clanging in the band's lyrics.
Born from the grey shadows of their hometown
and the coldness of Kymijoki, Volucrine's strength lies in its ability
to combine Finnish melancholy and sense of melody
with the expressive language of te chnical and modern metal.
Deep and personal lyrics accompany the crushing low guitar parts
and rhythmically versatile drum arrangements.
The ensemble is tied together with a dialogue of extreme vocal styles,
so that not a single tone from the palette is left uninterpreted,
from the black of Kouvola's licorice
to the grey of the concrete walls of Volucrine's hometown.
The band has been working diligently on their new album "ETNA"
and two singles from the upcoming LP have already been released,
in addition to a relentless cover of Blur's classic "Song 2".
The title song "ETNA", which borrows its name from the volcano,
introduces Volucrine's more classic mid-tempo and riff-oriented style,
accentuating the band's return to a heavier expression,
while the corona-era power song "Combatant" boldly pushes
into the realm of modern alternative and contemporary metal.
The band has updated their arsenal and 7-string guitars
have taken the lead to create the band's heaviest album ever.
"ETNA" is bound to be released later this year.

/Nervosa
members join forces
for new band HOW WE END
Let's say there's a new band out on the horizon of modern metal music
that doesn't identify as just a 'project' or another 'supergroup',
let's say there is a new band
that joins forces to embrace years of experience
to show the world their passion for heavy music.
Their first video single 'My Fighting Heart' has been released
and the six friends from Sweden, Spain, Germany and Switzerland
are coming at you with a massive sound comprised of different styles
including crossover metal, female death growls in combination
with catchy clean hook lines and heavy headbanger guitar riffs.
Featuring Jen Majura (Ex-Evanescence) on guitar
and Diva Satanica (Ex-Nervosa) on vocals, How We End promises
to be an exciting new chapter.
Rounding out the group are Jake E (Cyhra, Ex-Amaranthe) on vocals,
Tom Naumann (Primal Fear) on guitar, Mitch Kunz (bass)
and Adde Larsson (drums).
Already booking shows,
performing live for the first time at this year's
30th anniversary Rockharz Festival,
the band looks forward to finishing their debut album
and releasing their first three singles.

Finnish dark rock/metal band DOL
didn`t want to just sit back and watch the world burn
during the covid pandemic,
instead they used the lockdown and sudden spare time to write
their second ep called "Amor Brutale".
Like before, the music and lyrics were mostly writen
by the guitarist/vocalist Eero "Mc" Veri,
although this time there was some different methods used as well,
like in the song "Pain Walk With Me"
that was made by jamming on the band rehersals,
as for the others, you could say the basic structures came from Mc
and then the whole band put their input into making the songs
to what they are now.
Also there were a lot of different arrangements tested
and a lot of demos done
before the band went to the actual recording sessions.
The actual recordings were done mostly in the bands own studio.
DOL went through a few all nighters, while tracking the instruments,
it all had to be perfect!
It was clear from the start that the sound had to be different,
than on the first ep, more heavy and to use a lot more samples
and programmed elements in the post production.
The use of programmed drums was also something,
that was decided early on in the production,
best example of these being in the song "Dead by September"
that is a song about the fall and seasonal depression,
that is very common in Finland.

Since the "Amor Brutale" songs are bit more metal and darker,
than it`s precursor, it was important
to keep the same recognizable DOL sound still there.
First single from the ep "Lillith`s Song" might be the closest
to the precursors sound, at least lyrically
it is staying in the same gothic romantic atmosphere,
with it`s biblical and vampyric themes.
Love and it uglier side is also a big theme on the ep
and so is the mind and it`s darker side.
The second single "Hand of Hate" is lyrically a self reflection
about the voice in our head,
that tells us we are no good and casts judgement over all our doings,
some call it ego, some call it devil on the shoulder,
some the hand of hate.
This song is also the opener on 'Amor Brutale'
and should introduce the ep`s theme right away for the listener.
Like said before, the ep was almost completely recorded
in the bands own studio,
but the rest of the production was done elsewhere.
In the early stages of the production
DOL got a real metal professional involved into the project,
as Stratovarius guitarist Matias Kupiainen joined in,
as a co-producter and recording enginer(mixing/mastering).
The ep was done in full collaboration with Matias,
who often gave priceless advices on production and arrangements
and made the songs sound trully awesome.

and got them together over 6 million streams on Spotify to date.
Six more singles with accompanying music videos followed
(5 million more streams on Spotify alone),
giving From Fall To Spring‘s social media profiles
an enormous amount of attention.
The band, which consists of twin brothers
Philip and Lukas Wilhelm (both vocals), Simon Triem (keyboard),
Benedikt Veith (drums), Sebastian Monzel (guitar) and León Arend (bass),
