Portuguese melodic metal band Enchantya is set to release
their third studio album Cerberus on April 28th 2023 via Inverse Records.
The second single 'All Down In Flames' has been released
along with music video.
Pedro Antunes (keyboards) comments:
"'All Down in Flames' is the first song in the Karma section of our new album. Karma is mainly about balance and divine justice, and this song expresses people dealing with the consequences of their actions. Sometimes a situation is no longer sustainable, sometimes you just have to say "enough", sometimes it all has to burn. In order to find peace, we must leave behind the places and people that poison our well-being. We hope you enjoy our new single, and that it gives you strength to let go of what no longer serves you."

Finnish traditional heavy metal / doom metal band WIZARDS OF HAZARDS
has released their second album 'SUPERNATURAL'.
WIZARDS OF HAZARDS are a heavy metal band from Middle Finland.
Sharing the same interest for vintage instruments
and heavy music composing, they are doing their own music
entirely through full analog signal chain.
Their musical influences come from the recordings of the analog aeons,
mostly 70's and 80's heavy metal,
and their lyrics are inspired by bygone times, supernatural phenomenons
and old tales & beliefs.
After decades of jamming and performing as a trio,
they shifted their shapes into a four piece and changed their name to
WIZARDS OF HAZARDS.
A debut album 'END OF TIME' came out 2020.
Album consists of doomish, heavy riffed songs from the band's early years,
and 3 of those were pre-released on the 'BLIND LEADS THE BLIND' EP
on that same year - both releases came via Inverse Records.
Recordings were made on RTM SM900 magnetic tape within two sessions
in january and june 2020 under the brilliant guidance
of analog wizard Anssi Kippo at Astia-studios, Lappeenranta Finland.
The 'BLACK WIZARD' EP was released on december 2021
by Inverse Records, and it was a hats off to their roots
with ep given the band's former name.
Those three, very old songs came from the same session
at the Astia-studio november 2021
as all the songs of the second album 'SUPERNATURAL'.
Although most of the songs of their second long play
were made long ago, the lyrics of the album are unfortunately valid
and sadly true today also.

This twelve-track, semi-conceptual opus
will be sure to please long-time followers and newcomers alike
with the classic MARAUDER blend of muscular Heavy/Power Metal,
melodic finesse and fist-pumping anthems – all channeled
into what is arguably the band’s most heartfelt musical statement
since 2000’s masterpiece “1821”.
For any lover of traditional Heavy Metal guitarwork,
it is pure joy to behold the melodic and harmonic interplay
that permeates the new MARAUDER material.
Most easily notable this time around is of course the recruitment
of Greek Metal scene strongmen Tassos Krokodilos (vocals)
and Nick “Yngve” Samios (drums).
With his soaring voice having just recently graced the latest album
by Hellenic old school act SPITFIRE,
the securement of Tassos Krokodilos as the band’s new vocalist
keeps MARAUDER’s tradition of fine, charismatic frontmen alive.
Moreover, the act of pairing the ever-reliable
(and seemingly indefatigable!) Nick Samios
with long-standing bassist Thodoris Paralis have resulted
in what is arguably the strongest rhythmic backbone for the band so far.
What further adds to the gravitas of “Metal Constructions VII” –
much like it did on “1821”, although in a different conceptual area –
are the lyrical themes and how they relate to the music at hand.
Tackling themes of hardship and despair
that surely anyone alive in 2022 can relate to AND presenting them
in a way that brings to the listener a sense of strength and hope
rather than apathy should be enough to earn MARAUDER
a medal of honor.

ASKARA are the support act at EDENBRIDGE's SHANGRI - LA TOUR 2023, together with DEEP SUN.
The band is looking forward to present their latest studio album
"Lights of Night" to the audience on several shows
in Germany and Switzerland.
Just a few days before the tour with EDENBRIDGE and DEEP SUN,
the lyric video "To Ailsa Rock" from the current studio album
"Lights of Night" was released,
from which three singles and four videos were released beforehand.
ASKARA:
"We all love Doom Metal with Death Metal influences. Sinister, reletnlessly grooving sounds harbour epic melodies. Melancholy wrapped in music that brings soothing comfort to every soul.
In 'To Ailsa Rock' we feel like we were able to bring these very elements to a monster of a Doom song. It's one of our personal favourites, a song that grows on you with each spinning. Together with the perfectly fitting lyrics from John Keats we really had to have a lyric video for this song. Even though it's unusual to choose such a long piece, we simply loved the artistic combination of it all, too much!"

The Finnish artist Piper, also known as Päivi Sihvonen, has released
her second single release from her soon-to-be released debut album "What is the heart for?".
Immediately after its release, her first single 'Self-consciousness'
gained international interest on music websites,
and it was selected
for European radio channels and British radio playlists.
As a continuation of this metal-style single, the second single,
'Dream' is about the most beautiful dream in the world,
that you want to revisit, but cannot.
'Dream' is the album's sixth song, and this rock ballad
transports the listener to wistful landscapes of wishes.
How did the song Dream come about?
"The birth of Dream's words was special. It was kind of the impetus for writing the lyrics for all my songs. The beginnings of the piano compositions had already begun to emerge, the parts of the songs Eternity and Distance had already formed in my mind. Dream was born at night when I was trying to fall asleep under the glow of the full moon. The words came to me, and I started writing. In January 2020, there was a mesmerising full moon that lasted for many nights. While I was watching the glow of the moon, a chorus started playing in my head and I wrote it down. Listening to inspiration and acting on it was a powerful experience. I explained to someone dear to me that Dream was born when the moon talked and I wrote. The verse that captures the theme of the song goes: 'Insomnia, I want to sink into sleep, anew this dream.'"

A woman and a piano create a strong tone in her debut album.
"What is the heart for?" the lyrics and the moods of the songs
that ended up on the record got their driving force
from the challenges of being human,
and got their strong framework inspired by nature.
Päivi describes:
"I want the public, who discovers my music, to be inspired to make their own interpretations - to give in to being carried away by their
emotions."
Originating from classical, tinged with blues
and finding fulfillment in the rock sound, the style wants to be its own,
fantasy world-creating experience, without compartmentalization.
The main role is played by a woman and a piano.
In addition, other instruments played by Saku Anttila
complete the experience.
Creativity through music and writing helps to open up.
Päivi feels that one should not suppress
or try to control one's own unconsciousness:
"Music, writing and the arts are part of something bigger, for which, being open and receptive, you can act as its channel. You should throw yourself at the mercy of creativity and receive and create with the opening energy. In the aftermath of a breakup from a long relationship years ago, I got through the pain through creativity. Then I made two songs on the piano and wrote them down. I still have not found those notes, one of which I can't remember at all, but one of them was similar to the piano parts of Dream. As soon as Dream's lyrics started playing in my head, I connected them to that earlier piano composition of mine. Could they work for that? I wondered. I wanted to try."

Astral Sleep hails from Finland, Tellus.
The group has wreaked havoc on the metal genre since 2005.
Astral Sleep's music fuses various musical styles
into an unique entity dubbed "Astral Doom Musick":
The boundaries of different sub-genres of Doom are ripped apart,
mingled with pieces of jazz, psych-rock, noise, various styles of metal,
and sown back together into the monstrosities that they are.
Astral Sleep's mission is finding eternal bliss in the world
on its inevitable trajectory towards Doom.
With the previous album 'Astral Doom Musick' (Saarni Records 2020),
Astral Sleep established their accurate genre definition
as the namesake of the said album.
With the new, 4th full-length, the band continues to evolve
within these musical terms,
but this time with a direction towards more Doom and Gloom,
less Astral and Magical.
The new album’s gargantuan soundscape resonates the immensity
of the apocalypse portrayed.
Beneath the waves of crushing guitars, drums pound and bass churns,
like volcanoes that erupt under oceans,
and above glide the ethereal lead guitars and synths,
as the powerful vocals shatter the skies and tremble the earth.
'We Are Already Living In The End Of Times' witnesses the apocalypse
as it manifests, and explores the thoughts, feelings,
and insights that unfold in the face of the Doom.
Why did this happen?
What can we do about it?
How should we feel about it?
Should we care?

Does it even matter?
The album takes it path through powerful scenes of destruction,
loss, and despair, but also of deliverance, self-realization,
and existential enlightenment.
The cover art for the album was made by the renowned artist
Mark Cooper, an insanely talented designer of tons of album-covers.
This epic piece depicts an apocalyptic event
where the last concert ever to happen on earth
is about to take place running on the last fumes
of the broken-down factory.
