"The three songs on The Wounds of Bitterness demo were recorded between our first and second album. Initially, it wasn’t intended to be released. I mean, who releases a demo after their first album? But since these recordings showed a new direction in the sound of Left Hand Solution, we decided to release it anyway as a cassette tape. This was back in 1995 and it’s the first recording with Mariana Frykman on lead vocals. It was recorded in a garage rebuilt into a very small and cheap recording studio. These versions of the songs have a more raw and distorted sound compared to the later versions that appeared on the album Fevered. It shows the transition of a band and is the missing link between the first two albums. Enjoy!"

Dave D.R. is a multi-instrumentalist recording artist and performer
from Ontario Canada.

He has always tried his best to create new and exciting music.
When he started writing material for Immortalizer,
he wanted to create something original
but that still had a vintage feel to it.

Swedish Hard Rock Outfit STEEL RHINO
is going to unleash the brand-new single "Blades" on Feb 17.
The mastermind Mikael Rosengren has confirmed
that Firewind’s Herbie Langhans will still be on board
handling the vocals.
The song is included in the new album called “In Rhino We Trust”,
scheduled to be released on October 21 via GMR Music.
“In Rhino We Trust” continues the indentifiable STEEL RHINO sound
that served the band so well and appealed to all people
who love classic Hard Rock.
The founder Mikael Rosengren stated:
“We could not leave the fans with just one album, so we continued the saga of Steel Rhino. I think this album is more raw and powerful. We have taken our arena rock sound to the next level and the songs have been maturing to become our best material to date.”

has been in charge of the mixing and mastering.

German doom metal project RODTGOD
will make public on the 3rd of march 2023 their EP "Graveside Service"
as an indepentend release.
"Graveside Service" sings a swansong of a failed life form
and the ways in which it suspends itself out of the orbit
of an otherwise bright system with more potential and hope
than it receives credit for.
Nevertheless.
A glimmer of hope remains, when closing the eyes, thinking
that the living learn from the deceased.
May it instill some thought into the mind of the listener.
Being rather blunt and less optimistic than other Rodtgod's offerings,
"Graveside Service" stands on its own as a short excursion
into the abyss of the human experience.
Where all is doomed in one way or another.
Either to endure, or to diminish...
Established in 2016, as a side hustle
to house unused tracks from another band,
RodtGod (shortened “RG”) developed ist own weird dynamic.
Turning the human experience
into doom and death metal into “health metal.”
The latter describing an ugly sound, with a rather wholesome intention.
A heavy sound with some light hearted elements to the lyrics.
Proof that you can’t have both (Hot-) rods and rot
(hence both the “T” and the “d” in the name).
The 2023 EP “GRAVESIDE SERVICE” acts as an excursion
into a different musical and lyrical territory than the other two albums.
Ignoring the ironic undertone
and taking itself a bit more seriously for once.
There’s no path set in stone. Neither for RG, nor for any of us.

An absolute Power Metal classic
now remastered for an ultimate Metal experience!
'Another Return' was a very promising debut.
Artch were a little heavier than your stock NWOBHM worship band,
but clearly the roots of their sound all lay within that field,
and you could probably develop a crush on this if you’re a fan
of Dio’s original two Sabbath records, the heavier side of Saxon,
or Iron Maiden circa 1980-1984.
Judging on the strength of this effort alone,
the band should have exploded in their country!
This is Heavy/Power metal
with some trashiness thrown in for good measure
and with a similar level of aggression to a band like Metal Church.
'Another Return' is a classic, metal influenced album
with nice lyrics that are sung very well, memorable riffs,
a nice drum beat and the occasional bass fill.
The mighty Icelander, Eric Hawk reminds some of Ronnie James Dio
and he does write some very excellent melodies.
His vocals make the band really worth your time.
The guitars are massive on Another Return,
and the drums crash like a stormed wreck
against a treacherous rocky landmass.
The songwriting throughout most of the album is impeccable,
with an excellent course plotted through mid-paced
to slower, emotional tracks, and one moody power ballad.

‘Another Return to Church Hill’, the title track
has a very memorable riff and some interesting lyrics to it.
‘Loaded’ on the other hand has great vocals plus a nice, catchy riff
and ‘Where I Go’, the ballad of this album is a true masterpiece!
Picking favorites on this album is hard because all songs are great!
Originally the album was recorded and mixed during the summer 1987
at Borg Lydstudio, Sarpsborg, Norway,
which resulted in a great Metal production
and which was released in 1988 on Active Records
(a.o. Candlemass, Atheist, Mezzrow, Anacrusis, Hexenhaus).
“Another Return” was also seen as the great starting point
of an international career.
This album was remastered by Toneshed Studio
(a.o. Trouble, Heir Apparent, Pestilence) and will be re-released
on 17th of march 2023

DISMINDED knew relatively quickly
in which direction they should go musically:

After two highly acclaimed albums,

the band went to Tim Schlichting at Flashback Recording Studios
in the summer of 2022 to record their third album,
"The Visions",
which was mixed and mastered by scene icon Harris Johns in late summer.
The result is a no-frills ode to the melodic old school death metal
of the nineties.
10 songs full of fervour and devotion with dragging,
almost everything rolling down melodies, blast speed parts,
pleading and cursing growls and screams -

All it takes is one 80's influenced singer from Florida
to make a melancholic Finnish metal band to sound like non-Finnish
in a very haunting and beautiful way.
The debut single of Violet Sin is definitely modern and metal
in terms of production
but at the same time the song runs through the past decades of music.
There's 00's metalcore, low tuned guitars, retro synths
and a big melodic chorus.
In addition no click tracks were used in the recordings
to get the live feel that is needed in today's metal.
Violet Sin is the brain child of Veli-Matti Kananen (Kalmah)
and Jon Pyres (Lycanthro, Threads of Fate).
Aiming to create melancholic metal
that incorporates various, different musical elements,
the duo began writing material during late 2016.
Eventually enlisting the talents of Jimi Myohanen
(Se, Josta Ei Puhuta / Kaera / Swansong / Sadistik Forest)
and Ari Levola (RASA) and thus obtaining a full lineup,
the group set out to finally record
what would become their first EP during the late months of 2022,
to be released in 2023 under Inverse Records.
